Hi... Liked your reaction. Just a short context on the movie. As you guessed the mother is dead... murdered. He takes the daughter away to cope with the loss and find beauty and happiness in the world/life after said loss. Btw...the girl is not his daughter... the mother was murdered on the eve of the wedding ( daughter is from a previous marriage). So he takes the daughter as his own.

If u want to watch Ajith Kumar’s biggest movies, watch Billa (not the sequel) n Mankatha. Billa was originally done by Rajnikanth in the 1980s. Ajith starred in the 2007 remake, which really launched his career. If u want to watch his acting prowess (not just his action heroics), watch Varalaaru, in which he plays 3 roles.

@@krishniarumugam KK is a multi-starter, which is why I didn’t single it out. But Ajith did well. It’s a delightful, feminist re-telling of Jane Austen’s Sense n Sensibility n I’ve watched it at least 10 times. As for Paramasivan, his acting was good, as usual, but the story wasn’t fantastic n the movie didn’t do well.

One of you said that it is a fairytale, but its not, there is no perfect dad-daughter duo in this world. Frankly speaking, we Indians are emotional beings,thats why we love these kind of songs, parent -children relationship. The western people are not emotional,its the truth.We show more emotions than the western world. the thing is that showing emotions and having emotional nature is frowned upon in the western world,

Fairytale? It’s basic emotions which is not obnoxious for the Indian crowd. The guys’ sensibility to world cinema or Indian cinema is like me judging sauerkraut. And after a long long time, I have a song request. As I said, there are just 2-3 song left from my request list. I had selected other one with Madhuri Dixit, but I chosed this one first, as the entire nation is stormed by Amitabh's perfonce in Kalki movie. So I left that one and first chosed this one. Its called DE DE PAYR DE from the 1984 movie Sharaabi, again sung by KISHORE KUMAR. The song created a mass hysteria then. And still it puts a smile on the face of the listeners.
