You can use Ogre, Veidos or Ash to stop the field search, or use lock bird in the field to stop the xyz to add the rank up magic. Still a nasty deck, but at least have more problems than snakes eyes playing under lock bird.

Ghost Ogre might be one of the better handtraps against this deck. Pop the field spell to disrupt it's search and take away it's protection

in yugioh, "tiers" refer to how much representation a deck will get at a ycs, nationals, or worlds qualifier. the tier scale goes usually from tier 3, tier 2 and tier 1, with tier 1 usually being the best decks in the format. Tier 0 is when at usually a ycs a deck takes up more than 65% percent of positions of a top 32 decks at said ycs.
