I’ve heard some people mention they would love to see Sophie dressed in regency clothes that incorporate her Korean background. I would love to see this as well!

' People sent Grace death threats, called her a pedo, called her homophobia/biphobia when she's a bi woman, harassed her because she was close friends with Joseph Quinn (the actor who played Eddie) etc. The death threats got so bad that she had to hire extra security and or go to cons with her dad Casper in order to feel safe (especially when she had cons with Joesph). the hate did extend to the small group fans of Hellcheer too (which I am a part of) But the wildest part is that everyone behind the show loves the idea of Hellcheer. The creators stated that they are regretful that they never made Chrissy x Eddie a canonical couple. Joesph came out to reveal in interviews and panels that Grace and him decides to play their limited scenes with a romantic subtext and he thought that Eddie had a crush on Chrissy. Another wild part is that both Chrissy and Eddie are canonically dead by the end of the last season. Therefore, people had/have bullied Grace for no reason for two years. So I totally agree that Yerin needs to not scroll if she doesn't have/want to be because people will be crazy online for a) the brownie point for being an LGBTQ+ ally in the name of a fictional character against real women or b) being uncover racist who just can't believe a WOC can be desired by a white male lead and they can't imprint themselves onto her.

Protect your peace, Yerin! ​@@LadyJenevia Yeah. I know you did. that's why I decided to not put Grace's full name in my comment and from my online friends who has met her at cons, she is very sweet like her dad and step mom. The online hate against Grace is from either the shipping stuff that kinda broke the internet fandom space in 2022, or at the fact that she sign to this misogynistic gaming organization in 2023 called Faze because she was so hopeful that she could help eliminate the sexist views within the gaming space because she does gaming on twitch in between acting jobs. But after the announcement, she got a lot of hate because the OG members & their teen boy fans didn't like that she was a girl and implied that the company only wanted her because she was good PR for the brand. She got harassed online by their fanbase and had a meeting with one member who insulted her really bad (about her looks, the fact that she's only know for an episode of ST ETC). Luckily, she got out of that contract because it seems like she was a pawn. Back to Yerin, I completely understand. People are really weird when it comes to some interracial couples so I wouldn't be offended if you edit that bit out. and definitely, Yerin needs to be protected from all the future hate because Netflix has failed to protect the girlies (Ruby Barker, Charithra Chandra, and Simone Ashley) in the past. So everyone needs to protect Yerin and Masali from hate.

Like I said this is great news, but in truth I am beyond disappointed and fed up how Black women and men are treated in Bridgerton. I hate it! I was also annoyed by how season 2 treated the Sharmas, meanwhile the Featherintons sucked up the oxygen and Colin and Penelope’s season got a WORLD TOUR and in truth it wasn’t that good. I truly hope they follow your list of stipulations for Sophie in season 4 Lady Jenevia, but I will not hold my breath.

I really hope we get artistic Benedict back too. I really want a scene where Benedict's romantic lead gives him perspective on his need to be the joker in the family and on his attitude to his art. Working class are the best at reality checks for rich people. Also I'm so here for injecting Asian culture into what is essentially a bland Cinderella story. As you say though it's the costuming, writers and makeup that need to be east Asian to make it good.

I deeply appreciated the attempts to incorporate Kate's Indian heritage into her wardrobe, and I loved so much the little moments of her culture being sprinkled in like the way she prepares her tea, or the haldi ceremony. But the costume designer needs to get with the programme because every time he opens his mouth, all you get is hater energy when he speaks of regency fashion. Every choice he makes is rooted in his disdain for the fashions of the era... When this entire story would not exist at all, the characters would not be who we've come to know & love, without the context of the early 19th century and their various, conflicting relationships with the social mores of the time. And the makeup artists also need to pull themselves towards themselves because the Regency girls were very much into the Clean Girl™ aesthetic. How do they not recognise that seeing a bold red lip and dramatic eyeshadow completely shatters the illusion they've worked so hard to build up?? Oh! And *please* for the love of God, stop putting the actors in corsets! They didn't wear any goddamn corsets during this time period, hwhy must you torture your actresses!?! 😮‍💨 Not at all a fan of how many creative liberties they're taking with the look of the show, because we're getting closer & closer to it no longer mattering which time period this is set, in which case there's no story to begin with.

The show already breaks immersion by having Michaela Stirling exist, England as a racial due to the marriage of Charlotte and George and character's mannerisms but the fashion is what comes off breaking the lore of this world. At this point, the designer should introduce jeans and stiletto heels with how absurd the fashion has already gotten.

RE: Yerin in the Halo series, I loved her character. I was not expecting a character like hers in the show but was very pleasantly surprised by her and how she tied into this larger story they were telling (although it being cancelled after 2 seasons we won't get the conclusion :() The TV Series splits off to a new separate "canon" from the video games and shares story similarities but I think can still be enjoyed without any knowledge of the game because the show doesn't really go into it assuming you know anything. I personally really enjoyed the series although a lot of Halo fans didn't but they're a miserable group anyway. Anyway I'm soo excited for Yerin to be Sophie!

Yeah that mass shooting in Georgia was insane. The first location actually took place behind my parent’s house (I was living there during the pandemic). We regularly walked by there. And I wish I could say it was a surprise, but it is more disturbing on how completely unsurprised this was. I knew this town/county would produce one of these freaks. I grew up there and yeah those folks are racist. My poor youngest sister experienced the shock of her life when my parents moved back there and she had to deal with the racism that she’s never encountered. So when they was trying to say it wasn’t racially motivated I just rolled my eyes. I’m really sorry this happened to the community. Just deeply horrible.

I wasn't surprised AT ALL that the same institution that has a revolving door of finding themselves not-guilty of committing racially motivated executions of Black and Brown people would LIE about a racially motivated crime being a racially motivated crime. That period was extremely traumatic because it really felt like every week you'd open social media and see news (or just straight up VIDEO FOOTAGE) of yet another attack on someone visibly East Asian. A lot of the attacks were on elderly people, too. I really don't have the words to accurately explain what that felt like.

I hope this is not a spoiler but this book (and then Francesca's) are my least favorite by far for some reasons, I'll give that they have some redeeming qualities and I hope for all our sakes, Luke and Ha Yerin's in particular, that the stories are vastly improved and worthy of them.
