I was excited to hear you talking about Shōgun. It was amazing. I have been a fan of the original and was excited to see the update. I was stunned by how good this series was... I found a hack if you don't know who everyone is... I put on the audio description. I'd never used it before. It doesn't stop the Japanese language of the characters, but it does explain who everyone is. So it will say like so-and-so's mother walks in... And I'm like...Oh! that's who that is! (I am not insinuating that everyone looks alike --I'm saying there are a LOT of characters and I couldn't keep track of everybody at first, & when they change cities. It's kind of like Game of Thrones.) I hope you enjoy & do a video. It's very well done.

i’m cautiously excited for this storyline. i like when we can see potential chemistry between the main leads. another show with amazing chemistry between the two leads is interview with the vampire - it was just released on netflix from amc. there are two seasons and the third is just starting production. it’s a gothic drama based on the anne rice novels - you might like it. also - i love the sense8 mention 😊

So lucky you posted 4 minutes before I came on KZbin. So excited for not only Yerin but we now have 4 incredible east asian actresses in main roles in S4, I am sat and excited. Also everyone freaking about a love triangle because roasmund will likely make a play for Benedict, I'm here for all the ways he politely avoids her, Luke is great at comedy and there is a fabulous comedy element they can play into. Have to say I'm shocked by how young Katie is for playing the step mother but will be interesting to see if they dress and style her so she appears older. Hannah New who played the widow I think was only 38 during filming so again actually not that old. I'm more thinking they've got a fabulous actress and I'm excited for her to be known for something other than HP film. With the whole casting list, it didn't make sense and felt like an after thought thrown in there. Also as others have pointed out, it was written and posted by the same person who did the one for S3 that also missed off Simone, when we all know she was back. So have we got a bad apple with repeat offenses. I don't want to believe Jonathan Bailey would return without a guarantee of at least one scene with his viscountess and while they can reduce the need for her by having violet in number 5 like in the book, I need the viscountess round for tea bringing the next viscount to see his grandmother Violet where she's asked sophie to join them for tea. This is a non negotiable for me. Final point I have been giggling and kicking my feet since the Luke and Yerin photos dropped. They look fabulous together and the interview snippets mean we finally have someone who may be even more articulate than Luke when discussing characters. Oooooh these 2 will be incredible come press time. I hope they have a wonderful time filming together as they already seem to be a great match for a working partnership

You should definitely watch Shogun. Be aware that there is a horrific thing in the first episode with a death, but you’ll know what it is as soon as you see it. Shogun is really a self contained serial that they are looking at extending, but if they don’t, that season ends perfectly so while there is potential for more, it has a very satisfying ending. I would watch Hiroyuki Sanada, and now Cosmo Jarvis fold laundry. Jarvis’s voice in this series is a character all of its own! Anna Sawai’s character is so compelling. Moeka Hoshi, Tadanobu Asano and Nestor Carbonell are all stand outs. It’s a brutal show at times, but it goes out of its way to show the beauty of Japanese society, the restrictions of Confucianism and Shintoism during this time, the need for change that brought about the end of the Sengoku period. It also shows how the assumption of western superiority met the reality of Japanese society at the time. Honestly, it’s absolutely worth watching now as a single series. Think of it more as a serial.

Am really optimistic for this season as this is my favourite book and like the idea of her step family also being SE asian. Just hope the fandom doesn’t spoil the series with the whole 'which group is to be represented next'. I love the diversity of the show and dont mind the changes from the books outside the way they introduced Michela (she deserved better than a scene that could be stitched for tiktok). But as much as there is push back from one side who hate the changes, it is also starting to feel like a pick me game in some social media circles of the fandom on the other and if each Bridgerton sibling doesnt end up with forever partner from a different grouping at the end of the series there would would be hell to pay. But that will be seen as my unpopular opinion as I want to enjoy this show for years to come.

I'm happy you ask about using a photo showing a person that might evoke bad feelings. Personally, I'd rather not see it based on how described this person, even if they won't benefit from it. Could you recreate the photos or maybe use drawings instead? Or go without visuals? I'd like to see your video and would love to hear your ideas. It's actually from BH Cosmetics' "Take Me Back to Brazil" pressed pigment palettes which I don't particularly recommend because a lot of the pink(ish) shades stain the eyelid. I only use it because I still have it and I don't want to accumulate TOO many palettes at once. I've considered trying something from Juvia's Place to put more pinks back into what I have once I use up the shades in the BH Cosmetics one.

@@DranaisBotan I’ve had moments where I considered including a “This is what makeup I use” segment in a video but I’ve never fully committed to it. 😂 With eyeshadows I only JUST bought some new ones this summer because eyeshadows last FAR longer than people assume. I’m always shocked when I see people on KZbin with dozens or even hundreds of eyeshadow palettes. Usage can vary depending on which palette you buy and how often you wear it but ultimately one eyeshadow palette really can last YEARS. 😂 I’ve had THREE palettes as my collection for a while and I only JUST bought two small (9-pan in each) palettes this summer that were on sale.

So, if we went by the actresses' actual ages, Katie is 37 and Isabella, who plays Posy is 20. So Katie could plausibly be their mum. And I agree with another commenter here that it was absolutely normal for creepy gross old men to have much younger fertile wives, so a small age gap between Araminta and Sophie is also plausible. Lady Danbury is a classic example of the gross age gap and Cressida almost suffered the same fate with Lord Greer.
