Also yes my biggest request for this season outside of the Benophie storyline is good family scenes. I was so disappointed by the lack of good family banter in season 3 and feel like it would be such a good device for Benedict's story. Sophie working in the house would provide so many opportunities for her to see them being a loving and cute family and show her desires for having one of her own. It could even be a device to show flashbacks to her terrible childhood if they are going to go that route and explore her past like they did with Anthony or Simon.

It would be so amazing if Benedict and Sophie both have a common passion for arts. They use their respective art forms to express what they feel about each other or something. Benedict might prefer oil paints for their vibrancy and boldness like how he is very confident and vibrant while Sophie might prefer water colours for their calm and soft nature. They could paint together or something..or rather then offering her job at bridgerton house..he can offer to be her patron or something...but ig that won't be historically accurate and way off the book story line.

I want them to take enough time to do the season well. I don't want to see anything rushed or sloppy. My complaints about it being ridiculous that the new normal is a 2+ year wait between seasons of television isn't about the people who actually work in production. It's an issue I have with the people high up on the corporate ladder. They're the ones mishandling things and not paying artists fair wages. BUT ANYWAY, MY USUAL RANT ASIDE, the photos look promising (despite the lack of HD quality) so I really hope the finished season lives up to the hype! 🥰✨

I am thinking Eloise will be back for a lot of the season, not in Scotland. Firstly, she said she would be back for the masquerade ball at the end of last season, so presumably she will come back from Scotland in the first episode. Also, I would be so angry if Eloise was not a big part of Benedict's story. The relationship they've built between those characters is amazing and I would love to see how she bonds with Sophie. And seeing her help Benedict while also starting to think about her own future as she realizes she is about to lose her closest sibling is going to be so good for her story. So anyways, Eloise better be there and part of the tea times. I predict it will be Violet, Eloise, Hyacinth, and Sophie. Though I could see Penelope showing up for one.

I like that her mask really obscures her face and hairline. So much of the time masks barely cover the face and then the guy looks like a bozo that he doesn’t recognise his ‘lost love’- but in this case it makes sense- she really is obscured well. They also seem to have some very nice chemistry here (I wasn’t feeling it as much in the released photoshoot the other day- both lovely but there wasn’t much interaction.) but laughter and fun seems to be a big theme for them! I hope that keeps up because Benedict’s humor is so defining for him- and I’m tired of just ‘sexy serious pining’ for each ship. Polin was supposed to enjoy one another’s company and we know how they messed that up. I want them to have fun, dammit! Having fun can be sexy! Romantic comedies are filled with fun and pining. Let’s goooooo Benophie!

I have a feeling that the writers are going to have Penelope and Sophie bonding over family trauma, but it'll be more direct than you mentioned. I think that Penelope will use her position as Lady Whistledown to directly send coded messages or encouragement to Sophie after finding out how much she enjoys reading the paper. I also think that Pen and Violet will team up and use her position as LW to threaten Sophie's fam if they step out of line. Remember that Pen promised the Queen that she will wield her pen more responsibly in the future. I think Pen is going to take that promise to heart and she will be assisting Sophie (either directly or indirectly) throughout the season. I truly want to believe that the writers have an actual reason (besides fan service) for swapping the order of Polin and Benophie's seasons.

Yesss… there was so much in-fighting, anger, and highschool-ish drama last season… I hope to see family bonding, family members teasing/joking with each other, Kate and Pen being observant/supportive SIL’s re Sophie, and Benedict and Sophie providing a little more laughter. Also, we’ve all seen that video of the Bridgerton brother actors singing ‘Can’t Help Falling in Love With You’ in full costume, and Luke Thompson can play piano. Also maybe the ladies talk at tea (i want eloise and francesca to have returned from scotland) about araminta (joanne) poor treatment of her second daughter Posy, sophie has a look on her face that penelope recognises (pen feels for Posy having been that daughter) and realises there is a connection there so speaks to Posy? Realising who sophie is after that? Also regarding the filming pics, oh my god they look amazing. Also having looked at where they were filming, the pap must've had an inside source to give them as head up on when and where filming was happening because they had to climb a wall and hide in bushes to get those pics. If production knew pap was there I don't think actors knew as they had lights on them at night, think in a house with lights on while dark outside, they wouldn't have been able to see to where the pap was hidden, but clearly someone tipped off the pap (production or someone working at the property, who knows)

I hope the majority of it is filmed inside the studio because EVEN THOUGH it's fun to get this small teaser of one of the most iconic parts of the Benophie love story, I don't actually want to be bombarded with a bunch of set photos over the next year. Let me see the FINISHED work of art. 🤭 And yes, gossiping about Araminta being horrible to her workers would be a good catalyst for someone to realise things about Sophie's past (it could be Penelope or it could be a different character depending on the story design and/or actor availability).

@LadyJenevia just looking at the house and position it was filmed at, unless they were let in an positioned by someone, they had to have climbed a gate/wall to get on to the property as that part is fully enclosed and at least one photo shows evidence of being taken through bushes due to some leaves. I'm not bothered about production but I am concerned how the actors feel about these pap pictures leaking. The show has spent time and money building sets replicating the regency streets and some house fronts so I assume there is a plan to do more studio filming and hopefully limit leaks. Sadly a wannabe paparazzi has a drone he's already been flying over these at the studio (BTW if anyone reads this don't encourage him, he's a nasty manipulative individual, he's manipulating fans for financial gain, his username starts with unboxed, but won't post the full thing here) Leaks where production have taken no measures to restrict view of filming e.g. out on a street I feel is fine, but where cast and crew have an expectation of privacy e.g. in a studio space or in a private property, that's where I get worried if the actors are OK following photo leaks. It's up to production to protect them. But already people are getting funny about Sophie's dress yet as you point out, we can't see it properly in the light and grainy long distance photos, even when someone cleaned them up. The fans have this dress on a pedestal and I worry the expectations are so high, they will never be met. I wait for official footage to see stuff clearly before getting worried but I think both actors look fantastic and are obviously enjoying filming.

I honestly don’t have a lot of faith in the show runners at the moment after the Polin season. I really enjoyed Benedict’s story but the changes (like you mentioned with Lady Whistledown being revealed as Pen already) make me unsure of how they’ll handle it. Plus, if we’re getting pictures already why do we have to wait for two years for the next season? My biggest gripe has always been the lack scenes between the Bridgerton siblings and especially for Sophie, that strong family presence is so important. I hope we’ll be able to get more in the new season (considering at the moment Simone isn’t confirmed to be back but Johnny is).

But, I do think that Eloise could still be present for tea time. There’s a time skip right? So, Eloise and Francesca could both come back for the masquerade ball and then Eloise could return to the Bridgerton household in one of the later episodes. Also, this is an unrelated side note, but I heard that Benophie’s official dessert is banoffee pie and as someone who’s allergic to bananas I’m sad that I’ll never get to try it. 😢

Since El told Ben she wouldn’t miss the masquerade ball, I think Fran, John, Michaela and El will all be back from Scotland for the first episode and I don’t see El wanting to return to Scotland right after if Fran and John go back. I think she just wanted to try something new. I hope we do get the lady tea times and Sophie being a fan of LW. Since Pen wanted to use her column to help more in the future, maybe she’ll write something to help Sophie. If Violet gives her a fake backstory like in the book, Varley can forge documents to back it up. I also want some ABC banter scenes. I loved the fencing scene in the book and hope like you said about Sophie having a worse family upbringing experience, Colin will tell Ben he needs to talk to Sophie even if mad at her. I’d like to hear him reflect on how he was distant with Pen when upset and didn’t realize he needed to make it clear to her he loved her and needed time to work through his feelings because she he took family love for granted. Sophie had an even less secure upbringing and will need more assurance, so I hope Colin uses his own mistakes to help Ben do better with Sophie. Lastly, in the book Ben and Violet rush alone to the jail because they learn Sophie is there from the column, but if Pen lives across the street and Ben is fencing with Colin, she can just rush over and warn the family what happened in front of the house and where Sophie was taken. I’d love the chaos of more family there, like you said she’s not just getting Ben, it’s a big supportive family. I can’t see show El agreeing to stay home, Polin would go, would love Kanthony going, and Fran will go if everyone else is. I want Joanne to be at the jail like nobody cares about you Sophie and then Ben and a hoard of her future in-laws just descend all talking over each other calling for Sophie asking how she is (also I want someone to bring her food, maybe Polin, because I don’t like that she misses meals in the book). There also needs to be a wedding in the end, maybe that can be how Posey meets the preacher?

Hello! Loving these hair accessories! Also, for the lady's tea time, I think Kathani, Violet, Penelope and Hyacinth is prefect! We need to start getting to see Hyacinth a little more. Gregory too (but he'll be at Eton). Also single ladies being married ladies shouldn't change the dynamic too much. I do think they'll drop the subplot with Penelope thinking she knows she saw Sophie. They tend to drop things like that. Like Daphne's convo with Colin. Also, I won't surprised it we kinda never see her again, since they can never get Rege back. Polin will probably be a self contained plot like Benedict's was last season. It's their mo now. Sadly.

I have a sudden thought. This is gonna be long but hear me out. Rosamund is described as having her eye on Benedict for the season. What if she was the diamond (idk how they'll do this considering the timeskip but whatever) and so the Queen is interested in her marriage prospect. With that, the Queen approves of Benedict as a match but then Ben shows no interest. The Queen is annoyed, remembering all the problems in the past with the Bridgertons. Hahaha This is where Pen comes in. The Queen pressures her to find out why Benedict won't marry Rosamund and Pen mentions the Lady in Silver. The queen now tasks her to find out who the LIS is. Pen has her own side plot about having a hard time writing gossip columns because now people are more careful around her. Which is why she needs to do what the Queen wants to prove herself. Sophie finds out Pen is looking to unmask her during tea time and panics, now wanting to leave Bridgerton house to avoid any more drama. Of course, Ben doesn't allow it. And then Joanne will come in later and put Sophie in jail We know the show runners love adding some drama so this is totally possible and still in line with the main plot.

What I really need for this season is for "returning bad people" to STAY irredeemable. As with any show, not everyone can be redeemed, and that is KEY to creating true foils for the major dynamic characters. If everyone is morally gray, then who can I cheer for? I was already offended on behalf of Penelope that she had to be treated so horribly by her family for all of those years and the show went “lol jk redemption story, all good now” but Sophie is even more so a story for survivors so if they don’t follow the Cinderella blueprint I’m going to have put the show on pause to go rewatch a James Cameron movie to give me the catharsis I need from seeing people with strong hearts winning over the evil people that make life worse for everyone. 😆🍿

I do click fast when you drop Bridgerton content! So.. about the leaks... I think it was a rehearsal and I am not even sure those will be the final costumes (Ben should probably have the jacket). BUT you got me cackling when you pointed out that THE GAZEBO was THAT GAZEBO. About my expectation about S4: Eloise said that she would have been back for the masquerade ball so I suppose that at least her will be around for tea. I cross my fingers for tea time because that moments were those in which Sophie saw a real loving family. As long as there is tea time with all the available actress, I will take it. They could even do at least 2 or 3 and change who is in the scene. I imagine is quite a lot to have all of them together. I am more intrigued about how they will solve the issue about Sophie's parentage because e LW had a pivotal role to confirm how Sophie was relate to the Penwoods. I do not have suggestions or ideas, I am still pouring the fact that in the official article, they described Sophie as a maid (and I wished to have "The twelfth night" trope). About ABC interactions. They are much needed. Especially because from Eloise's book there is an ABCG scene that it is AMAZING and we are already claiming it like: IF IT DOES NOT HAPPEN WE RIOT. And there is another cute scene ABG (Colin "my wife" Bridgerton wanted to go back to his wife) and I can't wait the moment that Gregory will start to have personality (since he is the only main man lead in Bton without red flags XD). TWO YEARS TWO YEARS TWO YEARS...

Is it... _wrong_ to want Edwina to get a subplot this season? They did so much with her in S02 just to give her NOTHING in S03, and I'd be so much more invested in seeing her get something like Francesca got than...if rumors prove honest, more...Portia Featherington. I also just need Sophie's season not to be like Penelope's: milking the drama for more than it's worth and failing to deliver on the humor and the heart and THE DYNAMIC BETWEEN THE MAIN COUPLE.
