Being genderfluid is hard for me because my parents aren’t accepting, so I look like my born gender and I just have to deal with the dysphoria. One time a girl in my class saw the genderfluid flag as my screensaver on my iPad and asked if I even knew what being gender fluid meant. She was being very confrontational. I was caught off guard and stumbled on my words and she said, “So you identify as genderfluid, but you don’t even know what it means?” And so I blurted out, “My gender, genderfluid, stays the same, but my gender expression changes.” And then she walked away. I don’t know if I explained it right, but I know what it means. It’s just hard for me to explain it. I don’t get why she was being so confrontational. Maybe if I looked the part, she wouldn’t have second guessed it. I don’t know, it just hurts.

I know just how you feel, idk what my parents would say if I wore female clothes so I just have to hide in one gender constantly and when someone hears my friends using non masculine pronouns (as I have confided in my friends) I completely panic and my brain goes blank

I recently found out I’m genderfluid the beginning of this year, I haven’t really told anyone but some online friends and 2-3 close friends, I don’t know if my family would accept me (I doubt they would), as far as pronouns, my online friends/irl friends who do know about it call me they/them, but I go by any pronouns and they uses them fluidly. When people call me she, I don’t really say anything about it or think about it because I’m not really out yet. But being called she is intimidating and does kinda shock me or make me coil into a corner

The description says this was made just through Wikipedia, but somehow this is super accurate, I’m genderfluid, and although the time in between switches can be longer or shorter than a day (I think one of the lines talk about one day liking “she” then the next disliking “she”), but it depends per person, although this encapsulated my whole experience of being genderfluid, I have found that if I’m around supportive friends, they’ll ask me “daily pronouns?” then use those pronouns, which I love, and online I also list multiple pronouns but don’t always like being called all at the same time, and at school, I use they/them for simplicity, anyway this is an amazing video, I’m gonna keep rewatching a bit more cause why not

I came out as genderfluid at 11, and my whole family was homophobic. I knew because I came across something online, and it described me COMPLETELY. I didn't know what to do, so whenever we were seperated into boy/girls for sports, or going to the bathrooms, I would just go into the boys. Can't tell you how happy I am after I embraced it!
