I'm an Aboriginal Elder, and I have worked in the G, and I have to say. Its all the bureaucrats that are making the money. As Jacinta says, its an industry that the bureaucratic elites black and white don't want to give up. They get paid too much money to do very little to solve the issues they are supposed to solve. Why would you give up that gravy train? God Bless Jacinta Nampijinpa Price.

@@creditelectric That's a twisted way of looking at it. There has and will always be corruption around the huge amount of money that is handed over to Indigenous organisations. That will only grow once there is a Treaty and then reparations. The one thing that has been a constant is that the people in power within Aboriginal organisations look after their nearest and dearest first and foremost at the expense of the rest of the community they are supposed to serve. It happens with the Aboriginal Land Councils and happened with ATSIC before they were abolished. The more power, the more corruption.

Jacinta is a Woman that knows how to forgive and to move forward. Jacinta is not focused on the past, but the future for her people. And, importantly, she does not generate hate and wanting compensation, treaty, etc. The Indigenous people should be very proud to have such a Leader, as Jacinta! To conclude: people are not dumb. We can think and evaluate truth from lies.

In a nutshell, you know how Obama was your first "black" president, even though he had a white mother who was RARELY mentioned and NEVER celebrated like his "black" DNA? Well, the wonderful Senator Price has an Aboriginal mother and a white father - and she clearly acknowledges BOTH sides of her heritage, just like your wonderful Sage Steele (brilliant name BTW - wise and strong, suits her perfectly). The "YES" campaign is seeking to give Aboriginals special status within our constitution - Nelson Mandela and Martin Luther King will be spinning in their graves!! Cheers from OZ!!

Australian taxpayers have already given aboriginals over a trillion dollars and continue to give them 30 billion a year. That is almost as much as is spent on the military budget… No other Australian gets the kind of financial and non-financial support that they get. Enough is enough. We need an investigation into the misuse and mismanagement of the trillion dollars already spent and we need to move the funding AWAY from aboriginals and into a program that includes ALL people and groups in need of support.

Where and to whom would the reparation money go all these generations later? I believe they need to do a Royal Commission into where the billions have gone that have been paid to more than 100 aboriginal advisory committees/councils now. It definitely isn't being spent in the outback where the problems are growing worse every day. GREED on the part of the "representatives" in the cities?? Where’s the evidence of these pygmies? First Ive ever heard of any prior people’s? You people are just desperate to shift the true Australians sovereign legitimacy away from them. Truely desperate! This bs about intertribal warfare is garbage!! Another lie! Sure there may have been clashes but Indigenous societies mostly lived in peaceful coexistence with each other and the land (unlike the invaders who have desecrated this land shamefully.) Aboriginal people respected each others boundary lines but interacted respectfully or they would never have learnt each others languages. They had a peaceful coexistence and trading with the Asian visitors and Torres Strait peoples. If they were going to clash with anyone it would be these people. Just shut up!

Yes life was tough 200 odd years ago - for everyone. As a fifth generation descendant of convicts, I can tell you that life was pretty tough for some of my forebears. If we are supposed to care about the brutality of the past, why can't the convicts ( who literally built the colonies) be recognized too. Perhaps in doing so, we could ALL recognize that we are ALL better off now, compared to conditions pertaining in the distant past. Yes there are still areas of disadvantage in this country, but they won't be solved by trying to find solutions to events that occurred centuries ago. You might as well try and resolve the French Revolution now. Good luck with that.

We have family who worked in Arnhem Land, WA and Alice Springs, first as missionaries and then for the NT Govt. They confirm the rorts, the nepotism, the waste, the misdirection of tax payers funds as being the norm. Jacinta Price and Pauline Hanson are both brave and correct to call for enquiries and audits into the bodies tasked with closing the gap and failing miserably. There are too many self-interested parties standing in the way of seeing education and health, making its way to Communities, as the Australian tax payers funding was intended.

It always continues to astound me how our political indigenous activists sit down at their tables everyday and munch bread and butter while they mull over in their minds how they can extract “reparations” from wheat and dairy farmers. And then happily add sugar to their daily tea and coffee and also mull over in their minds how they can extract “reparations” from sugar cane farmers. These same indigenous activists happily stroll into Australia’s leading supermarkets mostly everyday and cast their eyes over what can only be described as an abundant display of fruits and vegetables, as well meat products of which at least 97% of the products displayed were originally imported into Australia by emigrant settlers. Since 1788 the indigenous peoples of Australia who had no metal knives and forks only their fingers have never eaten better. This is the plain truth! 🇦🇺💯%

If you want different races to live together what you do is you give something else and I'll give you an example. In Switzerland you have the Germans French and Italians living together as one country. They don't have any issues in Switzerland because they have something very special that Australian people have been denied. We want a referendum on removing the parliamentary democracy and replacing it with a direct democracy. So we can be like Switzerland and decide whether or not our kids go to war without the government overruling. That is what a real voice is for everyone
