Andrej Karpathy said that when he joined Tesla (2017) the autopilot was so terrible that the car could barely keep lane. Musk's lawyers, defending that statement from 2016 in court, said that it might have been a deepfake. You can't make this stuff up. He quite possibly could be the biggest fraud in history.

As a former investor of Tesla don’t short Tesla. I am completely out because of who Elon Musk is. I made $200 and would have continued investing but there are signs of how bad he really is. He has a transgender daughter that he does not acknowledge and who sees her as dead to him and treated her terribly when she associated with LGBTQ. That and many other things he did made me reconsider my investment. He will be very dangerous if Trump wins the election and could hinder EV adoption even though Tesla will do very well.

As a long time Tesla/EV enthusiast I don’t think you were wrong. Tesla should be in a better place actually. Many KZbinrs had Tesla doing 2million plus vehicles this year and that’s not going to happen. It doesn’t seem like a lot because the numbers look kind of close but when you really dive in they should have done way better. They’ve literally pulled all the stops to entice people to buy with 1-1.99% financing, updated model 3, Cybertruck, new QS color, FSD transfers bringing back referrals and so on and even with all of that they’re still falling short of what many thought a year ago would have easily been a 2million plus vehicle year of sales. It’s just going to get harder every year to keep sales up because there’s going to be more & more competition.

I was an apologist for Mr. Musk for some time as I had admired his vision, his cars (I owned two), and became a significant shareholder many years ago. For the most part, only early adopters appreciated the novel tech with most in the industry looking down on Elon and the company. Most of the Tesla podcasts during this time had to do with general industry news, Tesla cars, and the company's future plans...and all without the present political drama. Since the Twitter acquisition, I have seen Elon slowly but increasingly go down that rabbit hole of misinformation and conspiracy theories. When he recently took to the stage with Trump and repeated the same lies to stir up fear and anger, I knew he had officially enrolled in that group that relies on provocative tweets, misinformation, and sensationalism to promote his version of the truth. Fact checking to form an honest and informed opinion increasingly seems to be an afterthought. I still appreciate Tesla cars but it is increasingly difficult to separate the company from the man. Thanks for your video and I appreciate your thoughts on the matter.

I just sold my 2018 Chevrolet Volt last weekend. It lost 24% capacity in 6 years and 70,000 miles. That's not the end of the world, but they don't manufacture the batteries anymore. Only refurbished are available and I expect that they will all be sold with reduced capacity. On the other hand, Tesla has very few lithium ion battery types (18650, 2170 and 4680). I think that this is a good thing as I think that they will support their batteries longer than other manufacturers. Although I have some issues with Tesla's design, I have a Model 3 Long Range on order now.

I despise what Musk is doing politically. I was certain to trade up my plug-in hybrid for at least a used Tesla for starts. I respect that Tesla got the legacy automakers “motivated” and we are way ahead of where we otherwise may be. But I am just struggling due to Musk’s political affiliations and immature behavior that undermines the trust I have had in his business decision making. And what I heard about the layoffs he just did not by speaking with his employees but by cutting their access to the buildings they work in. I used to think with the stock options he offered his employees didn’t need to unionize. I am disgusted with him as a human regardless of his possibly saving the planet.
