To be fair, they didn't shout "timber" because it's Britain. If they wanted to be authentic they would've shouted "a fokkin' tree, innit" as all British lumberjacks do.

All I can remember about the film is that they photoshopped Keira Knightley on the posters to enhance her bust. It caused a minor outcry at the time, UK papers said it was false advertising, all very weird as she was only 17/18 when it was filmed. I don't think it was the sort of advertising they wanted for this serious film.

UK papers were always weird. Used to be topless women on Page 3 of The Sun newspaper that anyone could just look at and in the 80s they had Samantha Fox bare her breasts when she was just 16 and it wasn't a secret or anything. They even made reference to her doing her GCSE's at school. It's super creepy to look back at. Law changed in early 2000s so the minimum age was 18. And Page 3 itself ended in 2015.

Man, I only remember this movie because of the hubbub over the poster art bumping Keira Knightley up a bra size. I absolutely forgot Antoine Fuqua directed it! I know it's hasty licensed shovelware when EGM didnt even review it.
@Fyrmer Жыл бұрын
I do remember this movie, but I never knew there was a video game. The scene from the film that always stuck with me was when Cliven Owen's Arthur has to set Keira Knightley's Guinevere's broken fingers. Her fingers are basically folded backwards and he straightens them out for her, complete with some horrific sound effects.

Gotta give Krome studios credit, they knew how to make interesting battle mechanics. Mr McMuscles should check out some of the other movie games they worked on. Krome seemed to have a habit of going whole ass on those tie-in games.

I love that there's this whole cutscene of cutting down trees to cross the river. A river that both the player and the enemies can walk across, as seen here in gameplay, because it's ankle deep. They even have pickups in the water. You just walk over to them. Perfect 😂

I remember playing this game back in 2004 and it had some of the most jankiest controls and even worse was the loading time where it freezes up at a certain point of the game. I mean when you literally hit your opponent they were sent flying, the fly. I still remember when I was about 80% through the game itself where I was at a certain checkpoint and during one of the cut scenes it’s only froze and I had to keep hearing the main character that played Arthur in this game, as well as in the film, going “my, my,my,my, my.”

Anybody know if Keira Knightly is playable in this? In that case I might have to buy it. Matt did say it's in stores now. EDIT: If anyone else is curious, she is indeed a playable character in the game. It was difficult to find any info about the game besides shots of the game box but luckily it said Guinevieve (probably not how it's spelled) is playable on the back of the box. So, I said what the hey, and bought both the game and the Blu Ray of the director's cut for under $20. Can't go wrong with hot barbarian chick version of Keira Knightly. Anyway, Matt should seriously be paid by second hand online game sellers for doing these videos. This is the third time I've bought a used fifth generation game after he's made a video about it.

Usually i have a confusion between this movie and the one directed by Ridley Scott ("Kingdom of heaven") Good lord this game is jank as hell! Krome studios had some decent games back in the day. iirc the PS2 version of "Star Wars: The Force unleashed" was their work and in my opinion is better than the PS3/X360 edition MATT! Check out the Knights of the Temple games. The Second one was made by Cauldron (the same team that made the Cabela's Dangerous hunts) and it was PS2 eurojank at his finest.

What about the Pumpkinhead game? It's probably as much fun as this was
@casanovafunkenstein5090 Жыл бұрын
That game is magnitudes worse than this. The chance of anyone managing to get anywhere in that game without looking up what you're meant to do is next to none. In some respects, I do think that Pumpkinhead's developers deserve credit for creating an FMV game that doesn't just directly adapt the film they're using footage of, but the decision to make it into a dungeon crawler/adventure game where you wander around a network of subterranean tunnels and obtain usable items from the movie clips was not executed well and ended up being very confusing, doubly so if you'd actually watched the film it was based on.
