YES - RARE STUDIO DEMOS FROM THE LADDER SESSIONS 1999

These very rough recordings were given to me on a minidisc by a friend of a friend about 15 years ago. I'm not sure if they've ever been circulated but I thought they deserved an airing here. Like the 1976 Montreux tapes they show the ideas in very early raw form - Anderson is just really laying down a guide vocal at this stage (but you still get the feeling he is running the show). The ending to Homeworld is an entirely different version - it's almost a song on its own. They may respond to 'remastering' at some stage.
If this offends anyone, just say and I'll be happy to take it down.

Hearing this tune at this speed and with White’s more driving attack gives me Open Your Eyes vibes. The main riff is similar to OYE. Very cool.

Really interesting, and apart from the rather improvised lyrics, everything seems fairly well worked out. Igor is just holding it all down. Don't know who could possibly be "offended", except for money-grubbing music companies
