Because all I see is one of the best movie characters of all time being brought back to life, and done so in a way that it feels not like a modern re-make but like an undiscovered original movie that was never aired. The Indiana Jones movies have always held an element of comedy and even slapstick, so this scene does not feel at all out of place in an Indiana Jones game (or even a movie). That Italian only did wrong relative to the Catholic Faith. If his otherwise present father-in-law is deceased, I don't see why he shouldn't be looking after her, and most gals who were loving mothers that took pride and joy in childrearing yearn for purpose and preoccupation of that great responsibility in their 30's and 40's so, kudos to this Italiano for taking care of his wife's mother AND giving her the joy of a second round of motherhood. If the sister is single and has an affinity for him, he should consider her as well. When something is so good the first time you'd trust it to bear and raise your kids, why not savor the sequel and the source film?
