Out of this list, the only one I'd probably go all in for is Silverbolt as I've basically become a Commander Class completist in the past two years. While I don't particularly like the Ariel Bots over either the Constructicons or Combaticons I appreciate their getting updated all the same. Commander Class is perfect for a rounded out Combiner Silverbolt and can't wait to see what the Deluxe point combiner limbs look like. Titan Class Star Convoy sounds absolutely wild, and given how unique the original toy is will be really interesting to see at that Titan Class price point. Really hope this means Energon Optimus still get the Commander Class treatment down the line.

They're not gonna be the Retro Reissues, once you read in between the lines, you'll realize its just a Retro Based Walmart capsule, making the CHUG figures more closely resemble original toys, kinda like missing link but a little watered down

Titan-class Battlestar Optimus Prime is a little big for him, but they're probably hoping the Optimus name will help to sell the figure after Tidal Wave's poor sales. Commander-class would be a better fit, with Battlestar Grandus being a titan, but I think Battlestar Optimus Prime could work at Titan-class.

They already did an Evolution style Star Convoy in Generations Selects, a retool of PotP Optimus Prime where the Orion Pax was retooled into G1 Convoy. Even if they could somehow do a double evolution, it wouldn't be feasible simply because Star Convoy was a Japanese G1 character, and while the same guy as the original Convoy, the joker we knew as Powermaster Optimus Prime was a completely separate character in Japanese G1 (Super Ginrai/God Ginrai) who would go on to become Victory Leo in Transformers Victory.

Star Convoy is probably my favorite variation of gen 1 Optimus, but a titan class feels a bit much for him? Still, because I love the character so much and couldn't get the Takara one that was based off the power of the primes mold, I definitely might pick it up if I can.

And the price on all those Gen Selects Star Convoys scalpers are selling on eBay for $200~ just had their value tank lol Pretty meh announcements overall, Titan Star Convoy could be interesting I guess but like I said before we just got the Gen Selects version, would have preferred to see another Titan get the slot. Silverbolt we pretty much knew was coming, just need to see how the Aerialbots compare to the CW versions Seaspray, eh, okay if it's a new mold I guess??? We didn't really NEED a new Seaspray already, the PotP version is still great even if he is a touch undersized compared to the rest of the modern Minibots. Speaking of which, we needed a better Powerglide way more, the CW version was a floppy mess (at least mine was). I don't know, I love G1 but I'm getting tired of seeing the same old characters all the time when there's so many that still haven't had any modern update. We still don't have a Sureshot, any of the Triggerbots, most of the Decepticon Pretenders, ANY of the Autobot Pretenders, any of the Sparkabots or Firecons unless you count that Cindersaur from PotP, two of the Autobot Double Targetmasters, a Quickswitch that isn't just a repaint of Sixshot with a different head, the vast majority of the European line, etc. Give us new characters to buy instead of just slightly better versions of characters we already have.

As expected G.E. Devastation is just another excuse to pump out more G1 crap. I've had enough, I'll be sticking with Kingdom Sideswipe and ER Wheeljack if I even keep a G1 collection at all. Same goes for Sea Spray. G2 Dinobots I hope aren't leaders, far too big a price point to be worth it if anything. A box set in toy colours would be more appealing. I've got HFTD Sea Spray. It's the perfect Sea Spray. The only time it will be replaced is *IF* they make a better version of it. Titan Star Convoy sounds exhausting but at least would be more worthy the price than Energon Optimus. There's no reason a frankly simple voyager Optimus with 4 core sized drones that convert in two or three steps and a trailer that transforms by rotating it slightly should be more than Commander. Star Convoy is at least huge, turns into a fairly complex base, and has a dynamic relationship with a micromaster Hot Rod. I might be interested based on execution, like a fully detailed cockpit for Hot Rod. Otherwise I'm saddened they appear to be so rapidly giving up on titans that are actual titans. TFA Omega Supreme, TFP Trypticon, and Cyberverse Iaconus and Croaton were on the table and my god are G1 Metroplex and Fort Max due for an update. Silverbolt should've been a leader that actually combines with the Arielbots but it being a commander tells me that it's going to be another skelebiner like Menasaur. Unlike Menasaur where the combiner parts transformed from the trailer which let Motormaster be the cab and allowed the whole package to scale with Optimus rather than be awkwardly tiny there's nothing for the skelebining statue pieces to turn into for either Superion or Devastator, and only one of them has the excuse of even being Devastator. It sucks so much that both commander slots are being eaten up by G1 stuff.

@@team_fiasco Yeah see that's the thing, I hold absolutely no doubt in my mind that the Devastation figures are not going to be cell shaded. It's way more expensive to do and less broadly appealing as they wont fit in with other figures. Same reason they gave up on the cell shaded Siege repaints.
