A very nice rendition of "Wonderous Stories". It has always been a Yes favorite of mine. Just lovely. And the double CD version of the album clears up most of those problems you mentioned. Nice reaction!

Yes I agree with more songs. It should have been a triple album set like Yessongs and included live versions of Awaken; Future Times/Rejoice; Silent Wings of Freedom and the other two songs from the Relayer album!

Yes, it's obvious that we could have had more and that Yesshows should have been a triple album like Yessongs. Maybe one day we'll have an extended edition, if the label thinks it makes financial sense!😉

Yes are notorious for their lack of quality recorded material. This and The Word is Live, only came from hundreds of hours of pouring through all the stuff the had. They also refused to re-use anything from the CTTE tour(which became Yessongs) A new CD OF Yesshows would have Ritual in its entirety.

So this album begs the question: where are the rest of the tapes from this Rotterdam show? Or the Empire Pool show? Or Cobo Hall? For hard core fans of the classic era that's pretty much all that's left in terms of Yes 'Holy Grail' lost recordings that fans like me would pay good money for. The 1977 tour was especially amazing, and while a fuzzy audience video from Glasgow is out there, it's really for completists only. Bands just didn't want to invest in live recordings or films in the 70's.

You need to do The Keys to Ascension . Mostly live versions and I especially like the live version of "The Revealing Science of God". Its better than the studio version.

I see why they had to split Ritual for an LP due to time constraints, but they did a terrible job of picking where to cut it. And now that there are CDs as well as streaming, why can't they piece it back together and present it as one continuous track the way it was intended?

The CD version gives the full version of "Ritual" in one continuous piece lasting almost 29 minutes (so it makes up for the mistake made on the vinyl copies).

It's a beautiful song, but Wakeman's keyboards are TERRIBLE. Too many bum notes and awful Casio-like tones for me. Also, not a great way to end the album. Overall Yesshows has poor sequencing and song choices for a double album. Another two sides of vinyl would have made it a better album overall. Not even close to Yessongs as a follow-up.
