Omg dude soooo true!! so just say "NO!"... married to my Japanese wife for 20 years, and SHE STILL is CONSTANTLY asking for permission for the most insignificant trivial things not required even though I've told her to stop doing that, 20 years ago!! She wont stop and it is so annoying and interruptive constantly, so now my replies are just "NO!" to everything; "No, you cannot use the cup!/No! You cannot drink!/No! You cannot sit..stand...sleep...go to the bathroom...sneeze, fart, or breathe!!"... and she stares at me blankly for 5 seconds, then calls me "mean" and does it all anyways. So the most aggravating irony of this, is when she NEVER asks when it is extremely dangerous and serious, like when she tries to climb the roof alone with a broken ladder, spending big money on stupid stuff, mixing random household chemicals, throwing out $10,000.00 rare collectibles of mine, driving for weeks with her check engine light flashing or with an expired passport and driver's license for years..etc etc... how about your experiences??

Fun fact, young kids in Japan are saying, "Haha and chichi" now because of Spy Family. In the anime the young girl refers to her adopted parents that way and its started a trend.

A few years back I went to an amusement park by myself on my birthday! 😁 Because in your birthday you don't have to pay (usually they expect you to bring friends that will be paying haha) It was a week day but I only had one short appointment in the morning. So, afterwards I thought, why not hop on some rollercoasters. The park isn't far from my home and most of my friends don't like rollercoasters anyway. And I even got to practice my French and Dutch with some of the international visitors there 😁

Honestly the only thing that sometimes confuses me about this grammar is the weirdness of how the に points to a verb instead of what に is usually suppose to mark.

My wife is Japanese and we live in Japan; I can confirm Otōsan and okāsan are used to refer to father and mother. My son speaks mainly Japanese and calls me daddy and my wife mommy in English for some strange reason. I’ve lived in Japan for 10 years and have never heard anyone call their parents haha or chichi.

Mister George, you are the best. What camera do you use? And what microphone? And another weird question... More or less, how many hours it takes you to create one power point presentation, and to practice it? Mister George, you did for me more then you can imagine (seriously), and you did and are doing more for polish people then you even know :P (a mystery....) But... yyyy.... enough compliments! Keep working!

I used Sony FDR AX700 camera and my mic is Shure SM7B paired with a Rode Rodecaster Pro II. It takes total between 3-7 hours to make a PowerPoint depending on the complexity. Then maybe 2-3 hours to edit the final video depending on if there are a lot of edits required.

We do this in English too. If you aren’t in Japan already you way “I’m going to go teach”. If you are in Japan you say, “ I came to teach.” It’s the same in Japanese. If you are already in a location you use “come”.

Oh man. You need to write a book and title it “Is it okay if I say yes to your proposal?” Luckily my wife doesn’t do the asking thing so much, but she will ask if it’s okay to spend an inconceivably small amount of money on something when I have never said no. My answer is always, “it’s 10 dollars just buy it” or something similar. While this isn’t common, it’s enough for me to partially related.

@Learn Japanese From Zero! haahhaha!! Just told my wife that YOU gave me "permission" to write your titled book about her, but unfortunately you haven't taught us all the really good swear words yet, so not sure what she replied back, sorry... 私はバスのしたにジョージ先生をなげました。 ( oh and thanks for making the font bigger, I could read it this time! 😃)...((I can see better when im intermittent fasting and on Keto, which im not now, and im only mentioning this because I just saw an old video of yours where you mentioned you were intermittent fasting, and some ignoramouses chimed in saying you were harming yourself from doing fasting, and little did they know that it was a Japanese researcher that won the Nobel Peace Prize for discovering/proving autophagy and its benefits from fasting.)) T M I ?

I haven't been doing the intermittent fasting anymore. But I walk EVERY DAY now a minimum of 3 miles. And I've started running a few times a week. I just finished a 1 mile run which is something I haven't done for maybe a year. I'm going to try to work up to 2 miles and beyond if possible. I feel great! I need the next 20-30 years to be solid! No heart attacks and diabetes you know! Now who's TMI??
@madmax8620
@madmax8620 Жыл бұрын
@Learn Japanese From Zero! ..ok..if that is working for you, then great and keep at it...BUT, I want to know, have you been on REAL TRUE Keto before?!...so for me in about a year period, I've tried doing the whole walking, then speed walking and eventually graduating into moderate jogging with stair climbing when possible(@ parking garages near by) for 30 min minimum, but that was inconsistent and I hated the commitment difficulty, as it was eventually just too easy to make excuses like, " oh its too cold out now, too hot out, im too tired now, its too late, my legs hurt, ...so i will just do it later, etc". Besides that the weight loss and gut loss was too slow and minimal, and the exercise just made me more hungry or exhausted after, so that was not working out for my fat ass so well. Long story longer, I heard about Keto-genic diet, it made complete sense, but with some reserved doubt, i found a couple keto experts on youtube, but mostly checked out all the comments to weed out any truths, and pretty consistent truths were found by almost all the viewers(and I believe now that and non supporters were negative towards it because they were not fully committed and therefore failed but blamed the diet instead of the lack of self discipline). So by the end of the week, I became a "keto expert" and dumped all the carbs and sugars(with only a cheat day once every 2 weeks), with some bumpy start working out some minor detail(the details are most important because you must be true when you do keto, you cant "kind of" or " close to" do keto, there is ONLY truly doing full keto, or not at all, the body science knows and cant be fooled)... so by day 1 and 2, I definitely knew my body was changing, then day 3 was definitely feeling the effects( it takes 3 to 7 days to enter full ketosis, depending on your personal body condition) ... and I had woke up like I haven't woke up in over 20 years, the kind of feeling after you did a lot of exercise, where the invisible pressure on my head everyday had been lifted, gone!, I had energy I hadn't felt in decades, that it actually made me get up and dance like a mental case, around the house while family was thinking "w.t.f.??!", and I was think clearly, more intelligently, and that's what happens when your brain is back to normal by fueling itself from fat instead of sugar, as it was always designed to do so. So here is what else that happened in the following months that I wasn't expecting; the consistent weight loss(8lb off the 1st week, then 2 lbs avg each week after that), great sleep(no more sleep apnea and nightmares or getting up to pee), the stress and anxiety were at a minimum, ability to mentally function to do things that I wasnt doing anymore, memory returned (synapses working at a high level that I lost, i really thought i was having alzheimer when it was just carb clouded brain the whole time), it fixed my pre diabetes, maybe I was already diabetic, because it fixed my onset dizziness and kidney damage was reversed and possibly fatty liver too, where I was rapidly falling apart so fast before keto, that I couldn't even go to work anymore, with my wife pleading to go see a doctor (i dont trust most doctors and many doctors just dont know keto, and so would advise against it by default, and it doesn't make them have a job or money when you're healthy), it made my skin tags go away(a common pre diabetic symptom), it improved my blurry vision, it made me happy again even to complete asshole strangers, it healed really bad sores and newer and old preexisting skin condition that were never healing before, made my hair better, shaped me up and people around me were all taking notice, real food started to taste so different in a good way, didn't need naps all the time or at all, i could piss better again, and "nut" harder/better (if you know what I mean), no more body odor or bad breath, depression was gone, and I could finally start to learn Japanese again! So it was basically kind of like when Goku or He Man transforms for the first time(sorry, a cartoon reference and you don't watch those and I don't blame you) The tricky part, its hard to stay on keto after the holidays and cheat days, or in general in America, because 99.9% of food in USA has some kind of sugar hiding in it!!, but that is the initial learning speed bumps that smooth out early on. Oh and takes about 2 weeks to break the sugar/carb addiction. *or you could just eat Japanese Natto, since it's the best known food in the world for cleaning your heart out, having the highest content of natural vitamin K2, which is also essential if you take vitamin D, otherwise vit D will calcify your arteries(oh and Natto is also the most disgusting food in the world) Now THAT was TMI!
