Most likely a medium (3-4)weight yarn *How much yarn did I use?- I'm unsure because I got this second hand. However it will more than likely take less than half a regular size skein of yarn or 50-100g *What size is my hook?- US I-9 (5.5mm) *Can other materials be used for the eyes?- Yes, you can use thread to sew the eyes or felt materials work too instead *How big is it?- 5.5in in width and 29 in including straps. @@nicolepereira6424 watched this entire video and then tried to make it following the instructions, but just measuring it by eye to fit my cats head. I didn’t make ear holes because I don’t know how. I remade it like 4 times because it kept coming out too big after adding that boarder around the whole thing. I did like 5 rows where I added an extra chain at the end. The base of the shape needs to be small be cause I did 2 rows for the border and that made it a lot bigger. Then I just eyeballed the eyes so it would fit the size of the hat. I hope this makes sense. It’s been a while since I made it and I don’t know the language of crocheting, I just follow what the people do but I always forget the vocabulary. It came out really cute. I added a button, then I made one for myself so we could match 🥺

@@fynn2614 to make the main body I think they half double crochet, and then they go around double crocheting, one stitch(?) from behind the work, one from the front(you don't have to turn your work around). That's okay. I did two HDC into the first and last stitch of each row to increase the width. All the stitches in between just have one HDC. The rows should sort of look like this: 2 1 1 1 2 2 1 1 1 1 1 2 And so on. I hope this clarified that part a bit more.

if you chain 5 at the very beginning wouldn't that be 4 hdc in the first round instead of 3? idk what im missing ;-;
@samosatheena3 жыл бұрын
struggling with THE SAME THING. what did you end up doing?
@RauniPaigeO3 жыл бұрын
To get 3 stitches in the first row you have to do your first hdc into the second loop from the hook. Then you'll only have two chain spaces left to work hdcs into. You could also do this by putting your first hdc into the third stitch from the hook, so the first 'hdc' in the row is actually the other two chains. Sorry this is difficult to explain in a comment but I hope it helps a little.
@nangw123 жыл бұрын
@@RauniPaigeO you don't explain that part well and in the increase and decrese too. If you chain 5, and make a hdc in the secong loop(thats sking 1 chain) youll get 4 hdc not 3. And in the drecreasing rows 39-42 you said the same thing to do a hdc in the second loop at the begining and at the end too, by the 42 row you dont get 3 hdc, it doesnt add up to the instruccions, I had to skip 2 hdc( so do a hdc in the third space) in the begining and in the end to get 3 hdc in the 4 rows of decreasing. And it didnt look like the increasing end because you made 4 rows instead of 6, so instead of 39-42 of decreasing is 39-44 rows. Sorry if it comes off rude or confusing, but I saw people(and myself) stuggling in the comments, and I just wanted to point out the error, it turned out good for you because you were doing it how its supposed to, but the wording and instuccions are wrong.

@RauniPaigeO3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, you can add more chains to depending on if you want it to be longer or wider. If you want it to be wider, your beginning/foundation chain will be longer. I'd suggest adding an even number to keep it consistent. If you want the headband to be longer, you'll just crochet more rows between the increase and decrease on either end. I hope this helps😊

The math for the decreases in the written pattern make no sense, it says to decrease from row 39-42 and you’ll somehow get from 15 stitches to 3 in 4 rows, but the increases happen over 6 rows, so in order for the sides to match you’d have to do 6 rows of decreases. I had to redo that part a few times before I ended up just doing 6 rows of decreases because I thought maybe I did something wrong. Just a heads up for anyone who plans to make this
