I'm grinning all over again, thank you so much for sticking with it long enough that you were in that elevator! To go from not knowing who you were to being one of your biggest fans... As much as I loved EVERY minute of the trip, I think my absolute favorite part was watching how genuinely kind you were to everyone who recognized you. You embody your message "You are not alone" and the world needs this now more than ever. Friends for life, deal? Logan (the newly Russian Chihuahua 🤣) says we have to take him along next!

NEXT CHALLENGE: I grew up like many people in one of the many small towns across the USA. The types of towns where people never leave to see other countries or live anywhere else in their entire lives. I was blessed enough to discover Yes Theory, which helped give me the courage to say Yes to so many things including visiting 15 countries in the last 3 years. My challenge to Yes Theory is instead of going to these major cities to find someone to say "Yes", do a hometown series where you find someone who has never had the courage to leave their small town and challenge them to seek a little discomfort!

That was my point. There’s no way I can just drop work for a day with no notice. Even though I appreciate what they’re doing, sometimes I feel they always choose the same type of person to go on these adventures. So why not take a few days until one of these people can do it and go with them. Give “boring” people a chance. It’s more relatable I think

The sad thing is that I would totally want to say yes but I'm terrified of being trafficked...
@miah55433 жыл бұрын
Right? There's no way I could say yes to leaving the country with a random man. I've also gotten harrassed so many times on the street, by now it's sadly just become a necessary defense mechanism to brush a guy off when they ask me something. I live in a very touristy city and I can't tell you the number of times a guy has simply asked me for directions, only to then tell me it was just an excuse to talk to me. If a person like that then asked me to leave the country with them, I'd be calling the police. Which is sad, because in general I freaking love adventures.

I wonder how many people they've asked who said no who were cut out of the final video.

Listen to the podcast “you’re wrong about” they have an episode about human trafficking that explains how it’s become a moral panic and is very overblown in modern media. It’s a healthy way to relieve any fear for these kinds of things that suppress and scare the living heck out of people❤️
@miah55433 жыл бұрын
@@pineappleparadox7064 women have to worry about so, so much more than trafficking. Much of our fear has been from our lived experiences and I say that as someone who has been raped. Who has been groped more times than I can count. One summer I counted and during two whole entire weeks there was not a single day where I wasn't catcalled or stopped on the street by some man. Just last week while partying a guy grabbed my freaking arm because I didn't stop and talk to him at night while I was alone. So while I love adventures with people I know, some guy in an elevator at night asking me whether I want to fly with him to a different country would be my absolute nightmare.

Go into a poorer area and people are even less likely to go since they're all used to scammers, sex traffickers and so on saying the same thing these guys do. Middle class areas are your best bet. People who have enough luxury that they don't have to worry about much in life, but not enough money to do everything they want.

Hey yes theory, my name is Will, I’m a missionary kid who grew up in the country of Chile my entire life, but am currently living in the US. My family and I watch your videos all the time and think that the stuff you guys do is awesome. We would love to see you take a trip to the small town of Temuco Chile, the place I grew up in, and experience some of the culture that Chile has to offer. I am a huge fan of your channel and hope that you get a chance to travel to my hometown in one of your videos. We have a friend there who speaks fluent english and runs a cafe and hamburger joint with some absolutely incredible food, and even better deserts called Jack’s Burgers, and promoting his restaurant would would help him out significantly. Again, i really hope you get the chance to visit Chile one day. It’s a beautiful place and I think you’d really enjoy the experience.

@joshynocones4403 жыл бұрын
@@BlankBlanks All it takes is for her is to search up Yes Theory to come to the conclusion that they aren't human traffickers. Anyone with common sense go through these precautions then say yes, because why the hell would you want to miss out on all expenses paid for trip to Puerto Rico?
@mavel20383 жыл бұрын
I'm guessing they probably end up explaining who they are at somepoint to them.
@giantsbane14583 жыл бұрын
@@joshynocones440 I get what you're saying but firstly, the whole premise of this was to get people to say yes to complete strangers(i.e. them not knowing about YesTheory) and secondly elevator rides are short, people get off in 30-40 seconds, if you can't gain a persons trust in that time, which any sane person wouldn't do, they will reject your proposal. So I get why we who are subs would be all for it but a normal person probably would'nt.
