As some commenters said before me, it's incomplete at the very least, and dishonest at worst, to not say a single word about Pitcairn's "scandal", the pedophilia which touched literally every family of the island. Nowhere else in the world has there been practically "mutually agreed pedophilia" among a large swathe of adults in a society. The remoteness of Pitcairn is beautiful, but the same remoteness seems to have unhinged the behaviour of many PItcairn 's adults. It's harrowing to read testimonies of Pitcarin children who dreaded being called out for boat rides or other outings by their dad and his friends when they "came of age", that means age 10 (yes, TEN).. as the men had mutual permission to sexually abuse each others' children. The women went along because the men were indispensable for physically demanding tasks that daily life in a remote island entailed. You mentioned the plumetting population, but again, you neglected to say that at least a good part of the younger generation left due to sheer trauma of sexual abuse.

Because of this video I signed up for a full IRON man in two months. I’have been training for months but with uni , work …I haven’t given my best in training nor uni. Will do my best from now on. I know it will be one of the most beautiful, painful and saddest days of my life as I have no one on that finish line…but I WILL learn to be and talk to with my self in this endurance race .

Thank you! This is so interesting, sometimes we need to take on a challenge that isn't our real goal but allows us to believe that anything is possible and its ourselves that get in the way. We then have the confidence to pursue other fields, we have built trust with ourselves. The support and lack of support can be so helpful and is to be cherished. What an inspiration, thank you wow! :)

I come from Greece and I would like to say how much I loved your documentary. It is documentaries like this, that really could make an impact on how people perceive the world around them. Greece is usually portraited as this touristic paradise with amazing food and endless beaches. However this couldn't be further from the truth. We struggle everyday due to our bad economic state and the corruption of our government. Therefore it is very heartwarming to see people like you who don't view Greece, just as a touristic attraction but rather recognize and understand our difficulties.

That 100+ C is not normal. Normal would be 70-90 C. And if anybody thinking of going to Finnish sauna, have no worries. Everyone is allowed to move in and out, there is no judgement. It is a place to relax.

"Here, they cultivate the cocaine. In the United States, they consume it." <--- AMEN! This sums up the stupidity of the "war on drugs." The US government acts like it's the dealer's fault for providing drugs. Maybe we should focus on our own population's addictions and consumption? 🤔🤫

Pieksämäki is a symbol of boredom. Juice Leskinen was a famous artist from the 70s and 80s and in 1983 he wrote an over 16 min song about waiting a train at Pieksämäki railway station. Leskinen was from Juankoski and you can't get there by train, but to get from Tampere even near, one option was to take the train from Tampere around 2300 and wait for the next connection in Pieksämäki for hours in the night. kzbin.info/www/bejne/n6Wpm2OvfcSWjK8

The first sauna scene was hilarious. Burn, baby, burn! 105 C is not the real standard to start your bathing. More like 75 C....

Baderkhan is a very wise person, what a resilient spirit and zest for life. You cannot avoid your grief but there's a difference between suppressing it and powerfully redirecting it into something positive. He is a great example for people and the exact kind of person who should be a content creator. His "influencing" is actually for the better.

The one misconception even many of us Finns have about the sauna is that when you throw löyly (water on the sauna stove), the temperature goes up, but it doesn't. The temperature of the sauna actually goes down, but because the moisture in the air goes up and you get all that steam, it will transmit more heat to your body quicker, which makes it feel way way hotter. It's like you're in a steam cooker for a few moments. Löyly is the most important aspect of the sauna for us Finns, we call it the spirit of sauna and we often ask when talking about saunas "oh what type of löyly does the sauna have?". 😂
