It's called empathy please learn how to use it. It is humiliating and frustrating to get questioned when other people get to go around with no issues, its dehumanizing. Doing your job is one thing, but saying "I have a syrian passport, should I let him go?" is disgusting. I really hope you and no one else has those feelings.

I believe that an important aspect of the Yes Theory videos is showing this. Its beautiful, going to bed and look out the window, and you see the lights dancing on the sky Before, The native population here in Norway, believed that the northern lights was something you should be afraid of, and something you should respect. When the lights danced on the sky, they looked at it as an evil warning. They believed that the lights where the souls of the dead people. They believed that if you waved, song or yelled at the northern lights, the lights could come down and take you whith them up to the sky.

I remember as a child growing up in Minnesota my mom coming home from her late shift and scaring the crap out of me and my siblings waking us up. She saw Northern lights and decided to wake is all up and drive us out to a darker area so we could sit outside and watch them. Miss her so much 💔 she passed away from leukemia when I was 17. I have an 8 year old son and am now a divorced single mom. Trying so hard to create special moments like that for him. I have been away from family for years, and it is definitely true that you can find your own family.

There’s a Syrian here in Brazil who became famous. He came in 2014 and now he’s working at the biggest TV station as an actor. All the people in Brazil like him. He’s charismatic, positive, talented and teaches us a lot. Last year he brought his family to live together in Brazil.

Well, sadly the stuff needs to be heads-up when certain passports come through. They don't do it because they like to be asholes. She wasn't even being nasty, she just had to do her work.

Its better this way. He is a potential threat, and so is anyone from the middle east. You can never know, and you can never be to sure. I've seen this happen multiple times infront of me. Someone is arabic, they screen him longer, and at the end say something like, sorry for the inconvenience sir, i hope you understand. It's just necessary.

While I do understand what your point is; sometimes it's not up to the staff but the regulations. I work at the airport and procedures need to be done. I'm pretty sure the lady either didn't know if he was allowed to go to the final destination holding a Syrian passport or needed to call for safety matters. It can also depend on the airport. It kind of sucks but you can't take that on a personal level when you're at the airport. I owned 5 passport in my life. One was a travel document (which is basically a passport for refugee) and I was always stuck at the security. They needed to call because of the passport but it wasn't about me as an individual

I dont think it had anything to do with him being from the middle east, but rather a question of migration. Since the refugee crisis, many countries including Norway have stopped taking refugees and flying in to seek asylum is not allowed. So I think it was a question of the uncertainty of him being a refugee instead of a resident with syrian passport that caused the call.

It is perfectly normal for person from Syria to have extra security checks. For example, would you want to let through North Korean spy to travel without any difficulties? It is security breach to have free travel without any questions for those that are from outside schengen zone.
