Very informative! Did you ever get aluminum dual pulse working with 0.035" 4043 wire using reduced settings?
@FabbinAdventures
@FabbinAdventures 28 күн бұрын
I believe i tried but the synergic settings were too hot since they only have it set for .040 wire. I suspect if you played with it you could get it set up fine. That .040 aluminum welds super nice, even in edge on 1/8" sheet. Thanks for watching and commenting.

I have a Harbor Freight Flux 125 and just bought and received the YesWelder DP200. I also purchased the tig torch and pedal(still to be shipped) that I want to eventually learn. This is my first time needing to purchase gas. I know I need to buy a regulator which I can get at Airgas, but what type of gas should I buy for Mig and Tig?
@FabbinAdventures
@FabbinAdventures 21 күн бұрын
Hi Matt, i typically use a 75/25 mix for mig welding mild steel, and for any tig weldingof mild steel, stainless or aluminum i use 100% Argon. You will love that new welder it takes alot of the guess work out of setting up a welder especially if you are new to welding. Thanks for watching and commenting!

@@FabbinAdventures Is it possible to buy a single tank or gas that works for all types? Or two tanks that I turn on/off depending on welding type?
@FabbinAdventures
@FabbinAdventures 20 күн бұрын
I dont think there is a "do all" gas out there, i just have 2 bottles and 2 regs and just swap the hose from one to the other.

At some time in the future it would be great if you do another video with this machine and all its functions with a filter over the camera lense so we can see the weld puddle while your welding. Also can this welder be used with the pulse functions while welding mild steel? Great videos, looking forward to more welding vids.
@FabbinAdventures
@FabbinAdventures Ай бұрын
Id like to figure out how those guys do that, ive tried a couple times now and its always too hot. I believe you can use the pulse with steel, but i will have to try it to know for sure. They are now sending me a tig gun and pedal to play with after i was asking them if the pedal controls amperage or is just an on off switch. So stay tuned for that video to come out also. I'm no pro at tig, but i can weld with it if its not one of my shaky days..lol I'll do some research as to how to filter with my camera to show that puddle for ya, but no promises..lol I also have a bestarc plasma video coming as well as an arc captain mig 200 welder review coming soon. Thanks for watching and commenting and stay tuned for part 3 of this machine...i love it!

Your thoughts on ArcCaptain ? Worthwhile?
@FabbinAdventures
@FabbinAdventures Ай бұрын
Funny you should say Arc Captain, i just recorded a review video for that machine (mig200) and will be editing it tonight. If you have the choice and the extra $$ for the YesWelder 200DP, take the YesWelder. Hands down a better more quality machine...by far! They will probably not like my review on the mig 200..lol Thanks for watching and commenting!

Do everyone a favor put an amp gauge on it check the min, mid, max settings vs display. I got their Firstess Mp200 during the kickstarter. Bunch of overclaimed specs. The display didn't match what was measured. The machine maxed out at 170 amps.

Well, thats something i never thought of doing, though it takes a fair bit of power to weld 1/2" and 3/8" steel and 3/8" aluminum, i dont think its far off if it is. Thanks for watching and commenting!

as a beginner its probably more than i need but seems like it makes some things starting out simpler so i went ahead and spent the extra money to get it.

You will grow into its capabilities, better that than buy a real simple one that you will soon out grow as your skills improve. This welder really impresses me and my welder buddy. You will like the synergy function alot, takes most of the guess work out of it. Unless you are welding upside down or uphand, then just reduce the voltage some. They are also "on it" when i email them with questions. They are also sending me the tig gun and pedal to be able to show you guys that aspect of this machine so stay tuned for that video. Thanks for watching and commenting! Have fun

Why are the initial settings of this machine so out of whack?
@FabbinAdventures
@FabbinAdventures Ай бұрын
Good question man, the synergic settings for steel are bang on, but for aluminum they are definitely hot. At the time of the video the machine was not released to the public, but as of the 28th of oct its available, i would hope that YesWelder does not send out a bunch of machines that still need updating. Thanks for watching and commenting!
@johnmacmillan627
@johnmacmillan627 Ай бұрын
@ thanks for the quick response! The main reason I asked is that I have the 211P yeswelder and the aluminum settings for that machine are really not in the ball park either. The voltage settings were much lower than on the one you were demonstrating on. Crazy! I do appreciate your effort in putting on your video and I learned from it for sure. Let me know when you figure out the right settings for 1/8 aluminum with 0.035 wire. I would really appreciate that. Thanks again, and keep up the good work. Cheers, John
@FabbinAdventures
@FabbinAdventures Ай бұрын
@johnmacmillan627 it seems like a pretty awesome machine and hopefully they get the synergic settings figured and updated. They have sent me a tig gun and the pedal to play with now so watch for that video in the future, though i'm not real good at tig. If i get aluminum settings figured i'll put them in the next video. Thanks again for watching and commenting, it helps the algorithm.

Yeah only in the New Normal This company gets its customers to pay almost 4 million dollars to R And D a machine and release it without the synergy even right. You get you are providing the labor to load its bios update- which should be there already, we Americans dont have the sense God gave a rock. SMH
@FabbinAdventures
@FabbinAdventures Ай бұрын
@scottherr642 Yeah, what i dont understand is at this point in yes welders carreer, why they need crowd funding. They should have plenty of money by now to do their own research and development. Im not gonna complain because i do get to be part of that and i like playing with new toys, especially when they are given to me..lol If its crap, i'll say its crap, check out the drone review i did a month or so back, i shot that piece of crap down with a 12 guage and showed it on the review. You tube does not promote that video much for obvious reasons..lol I wont stretch the truth about a product, in the end that would only give me a bad name. Thanks for watching and commenting!

All this tech in the machine and they can't handle a thumb drive or memory card larger than 8GB? Good luck finding them anymore.
@FabbinAdventures
@FabbinAdventures Ай бұрын
Yeah, i found that kinda stupid, i had bought a thumb drive especially for this unit before i found out it could only handle 8GB, the one i bought was 64GB. I cant find any thumb drives or cards that small locally. Luckily i had some old cards that worked with my card reader and was able to update it easily. I now have a tig gun and the pedal to test with this machine, stay tuned. Thanks for watching and commenting.
