At one time, Ren's band, the Big Push, tweeted that they were going to play in Brighton town centre at a certain time and over 1000 kids turned up and the police had to cordon off the area and make it pedestrian only.

The story behind Ren meeting Sam is pretty awesome. Ren was out busking one day and he wasn't feeling too well because of the Lyme disease so he packed his equipment up and started walking to go home and he saw this 15 year old kid singing his ass off but he had no P. A. to sing through so Ren offered up his equipment and even played guitar and they made a pretty good amount of money and when Sam went to count it to split it up Ren told him to keep it! They've been friends ever since. Sam opened up for Justin Bieber not that long ago too so Sam is just exploding in popularity.

Oh wow, are you ever in luck! The song that has recently gotten Ren attention all across the internet is called 'Hi Ren', and it is a true work of art. If you watch it - and you definitely should - keep in mind that it is a live performance, despite the high quality of the video, and of the performance. It is a stunning piece of work. And then look into his collaborations with a lady named Chinchilla. He's amazing. I hope you enjoy.

Brighton is a really artsy place that attracts lots of creative people, and is really encouraging of busking. So it was the perfect place for Ren and the other guys from his band, The Big Push, to play. It's a pretty liberal, eclectic, inclusive place. With some of the later performances that they were planing to film, they would let people know on Facebook that they were going to be playing, but they couldn't announce it too far in advance or the crowds would get too big! There are still videos of Ren busking on his own with hardly anyone stopping though, so it really depends on the day. I think that might change now!

Ren was initially scouted by Sony as a buskers on the streets of Bath. He has a huge following in Brighton. Have you heard Crutch? It was made years ago after a serious breakdown he had with many emergency room visits. It is stunning..

if it's not been mentioned, He was discovered by a talent scout in 2009, when these two were busking. and in 2010, he signed a record deal with Sony Records Tom Frampton joined the band. It was during the making of his 1st Album with Sony that he came down with a mystery illness that virtually stopped him performing. Which turned out to be the misdiagnosed Lyme Disease. Because he wasn't able to perform with the illness Sony Dropped him.

Ohh also "The Animals classic by "Alien" musician Ren. Busking in Brighton Ship St" is extraordinary as you watch him transcend, alone and shirtless with people just walking by as if magic isn't happening right next to them. It is wonderful that we have soooo much footage from so many different stages of his career. It's like an easter egg hunt out here. There is treasure hiding everywhere.

In REN’s interview with Justin Hawkins he was asked if he was classically trained on the guitar. Ren said he was self taught and he also watched a lot of KZbin videos teaching guitar. Obviously, he has worked very hard at his skills over the years. I imagine his piano skills came from his mother who was a music teacher and a vocal coach, if I remember that right.
