Same happened to me over July 4th. Had the old style with the zipper. Emailed on July 6th. Received a response back within two days. They even gave me options for what I could exchange it for. Got the shipping label the next day. Sent the old cooler back on 7/16 and got the new cooler in on 7/24. No hassle warranty claim and the new cooler even came with a 3 year warranty. Had the first one for 6 years. Couldn’t believe it. It’s paid for itself and I’m excited to use the new cooler.

They tell me I have to be within the warranty. Some items have 5 yrs and 3yrs. My hopper 20 obviously is 3 yrs...

Use the CueroStick to load, unload and dry the Yeti. It can crack a beer also.

Was it still within the warranty period? I just picked up a Hopper 18 and love it. The only thing that worries me is the zipper breaking outside of the 3 year warranty period and how YETI would respond.

Pretty sure it was outside of the warranty, As It was the original version bought early on. I filled in the warranty claim on Yeti's site and purposely left the purchase date box empty. The main thing they wanted was I was original owner and picture of damage. You also need to send old cooler back ! I figured I had a 50/50 chance because they had well documented problems with zipper on this cooler. That's what impressed me the most! ! Thanks for watching

Impressive considering the age of the hopper you had (I think you said it was the original 30 with the zipper on top). I've got the Hopper two 30 with the zipper towards the top on the side. Works really well but not always the easiest to load or access. How's the new one with the magnets?

That's one of the main issues I was so impressed with Yeti CS. When I filled out the warranty form I realized that the original warranty was probably expired. Yeti acknowledged that they had problems with the zipper and stood by the claim taking care of me. The newer version with the magnets is a easier to load because of the physical constraints the top zipper put on the task. Still not the easiest to load the cooler, But I'm not complaining.

Like other yeti coolers I've had i really dislike this one. Price is ridiculous. And it's a pain in the arse to get into. Lastly, it holds next to nothing because of the shape. Fail
