Just got off a rafting trip on the Colorado River in the Grand Canyon with John. His spirit is infectious and his love of the Colorado River and rafting the Grand Canyon seems to be rivaled only by his love of skiing. I had no idea he was in his 50s! You'd never know it to be with him. He is an inspiration on many levels--a great teacher, patient, kind and passionate. Wish we could have spent more time hanging with him. Check out YETI presents "In Current" to see him again with some other fantastic river guides.

Just got off a rafting trip down the Grand Canyon today with John. He’s the Funniest and most down to earth guys I’ve ever met. This video just is so amazing when you know the guy and that he’s not just acting in this. This is who he is and this is how he lives

It's 6:30am East Coast Time, and the first thing I do every morning is listen to inspirational and motivational videos everyday. This by far speaks to me clear and loud. You need to make more videos like this. You need to interview John again. His life story resinates with me and probably everyone that loves YETI.

I will call this movie “Real freedom - but not for everyone”. Freedom, as showed us John, means not only living without money, phone or credit card but, what is more important, doing perfectly what you really love. The mountains looked dangerous for me but also amazing and marvelous. Only professional skier is brave and forceful enough to cope with height, wind and cold. We could see in John’s eyes that the impressive mountains are also mysterious and inspiring. His lonely journey through the white snowy space, where no one had been before, shows that freedom means possibility of free choice. There, in the mountains, it was the choice of safe way. For me, here in Krakow, it is independent choice of the correct way of life.
