Anyone else weirded out by Anthony just staring lifeless into the camera and whispering "they're in the walls" for 6 minutes straight?
I really vibed with this one differently. It's edging on a 9 for me or strong 8, but I think the previous record Serotonin II is essentially a perfect ethereal pop record. Obviously this one has even bolder pop centric songs and also experiments more with ambient stuff. Too early to say for me I think it is technically not as good as the previous record overall, but it's such an exciting piece of experimentation in their career that I can't be anything but excited for a developing body of work after this. Yeule was such an incredible surprise in 2019 for me. It's really cool to see Yeule integrate with PC Music producers and sink their teeth that community a little bit. Also the way Yeule uses costuming and makeup to transcend into different characterizations of themselves is pretty next level.
@oddmnemosyne28692 жыл бұрын
I'm ngl, and I mean this in the best way possible, the closing track is 100% the sort of thing I put on to help my brain shut off when I need a nap. I only became familiar with Yeule as an artist maybe 6 weeks or so ago and haven't done a deep dive into their music, but I have to say this one got my attention. Light 8 for me.

This album’s a lot more diverse and ambitious. Favs are Electric, Bites on my Neck, and Friendly Machine. Lots of clear growth since the last one. That being said, I prefer the songs on Serotonin II
@kdjets2 жыл бұрын
Too Dead Inside is one of my favorite tracks this year. All the singles were great. Electric is beautiful, sad, introspective. Bites on My Neck has a great groove to it and implementing a whaling scream to the whole thing was a bold mood and aesthetic choice.
