This week we get to know about more about ‪@YGEntertainment‬ and some of their artists that I was yet to know in more detail, starting with YG FAMILY 'GO AWAY' , 'GANGNAM STYLE' ,'FANTASTIC BABY' LIVE PERFORMANCES. Followed by ‪@TREASURE‬ and their live vocal peformance of "WAYO". I was then properly blown-away by ‪@iKON‬ and their amazing music video for "Killing Me". Then, the amazingly fun lad from ‪@WINNER‬ brought summer to London with their cool track "Everyday". So to finish it all off we HAD to watch Gummy and her incredible song "Childish Adult". Overall, an INCREDIBLE Podcast!

I think what you get with BIGBANG, iKON and WINNER is a huge amount of creativity in the composition because they're so involved in the music they put out. WINNER is currently on hiatus because they have two members on the military and I really miss them because they bring something into the kpop scene no one else does. Kang Seungyoon the main vocal is exceptionally talented. He's the youngest king of the mask and won several times with very emotional songs. He's also a great actor and if you haven't checked out the drama Prison Playbook you really should. Also you've reacted to a member of iKON (Bobby) and a member of WINNER (Mino) as the duo MOBB. I miss B.I with iKON he's just such a great producer and they had the best chemistry. I mean iKON is still great but that Killing Me era was my favorite.

#WINNER is definitely a MUST check out group. They are insanely talented artists and performers especially on live stages (been to most of them). #YOON, the maknae/leader, is such a genius songwriter/producer, musician and power vocalist. #JINU on the other hand has a unique and buttery vocals that provides more colours and texture to their sound. #MINO, super talented rapper, genius lyricist, song writer, producer, set/stage designer, the list goes on. And finally, #HOONY, the main dancer/choreographer of the group, and witty rapper (he also writes his own rap). WINNER genre of music is so wide and varied yet uniquely theirs so every song sounds fresh, easy to listen to, even sing along w/ even if you’re not Korean. Check out their entire discography and solo albums/releases and collaborations w/ other artists and you’ll be 🤯

This era of YG Family was the best one- Psy, Gummy, Se7en, Epik High, BigBang, 2NE1, Lee Hi, Winner, iKon hasn't debuted but they were part of the family that time already. There is a behind the scene video of this concert too. It is such a great concert, I wish I can still experience it but lots of them are not in YG anymore :(

Fun fact about WINNER + iKON : WINNER was formed in by YG Entertainment through Mnet's survival program (WIN: Who Is NEXT 2013) as Team A, competed against Team B (iKON) leading to their official debut on 2014 after winning at the end of the show (WINNER debuted as YG's new boy group 8 years since BIGBANG's debut) +Team B debuted after appearing on 2014 at another reality survival show (Mix & Match) as iKON. YG has created some legendary artists that'll never be forgotten! All of Winner's songs and mv's are bangers! I love how they started included female models/dancers and actually had proper choreo with them till this day Really Really and Everyday mv and songs are some of my all time favourites! Though Ikon feels incomplete without Hanbin, 2018 was their year, they dropped bangers after bangers! I wish I got to experience a YG family concert in their prime days imagine seeing all these legendary performers together.

YG has produced legendary ARTISTS... emphasizing on the artists coz most of them have a huge hand in the music production. It’s just sad that a lot of them are no longer with YG and there aren’t much interactions with the yg artists now as it used to be... Also, been waiting for your iKON reaction so this is definitely a treat ❤️ Hoping you’ll react to iKON’s Just Go Live in Japan performance please (the one with approx 1M views I guess). The GP knows iKON as a hiphop group but that song is one proof out of the many that iKON is one the groups in kpop with an amazing vocal line. i've always loved that even though yg songs aren't necessarily dance-focused (even though they have some amazing dancers), all their artists clearly have a passion for performing and their energy on stage is so contagious and their live vocals are outstanding. also they all have members who can produce and write songs so they're heavily involved in their own music and know what sound suits them

Also, if you want acoustic and raw voices combined, you must check a lot of Winner's Kang Seung Yoon solo performance. His version of Hate everything in MBC Idol Radio and in IG live. His Someone like you by Adele and Ordinary People with his guitar is also so good. All his Begin Again performances are chef's kiss! There is also a video in Winner Channel for WWIC singing "That Song" . Kang Seung Yoon and the whole Winner group is under rated internationally but they are super popular, even individually in Korea.
