I find it funny just how hard Kaiba could stop Marik in his tracks if he was a responsible tournament host for five minutes. Lets see you win battles without the power of darkness, having to give your opponents a full explanation of how your cards work (in English), and your opponent passing out being seen as grounds for a re-duel rather then a win.

HECK discards and the Graveyard arent even public knowledge. Also... IRL if your opponent collapses mid tournament that isnt Grounds for a Re-duel, he lost by not being able to attend the duel/not being able to finish the duel.. that is totaly conform with IRL rules

Also, if Marik wasn't playing a shadow game (and wasn't confident Ra Pheonix mode could knock Joey out in his own right, which is possible or some opponents based on Yugi vs Bakura and Kaiba vs Nagumo), he would have just not summoned Ra with Monster Reborn and gone for a different monster instead (Lava Golem maybe?), prolonging the duel into something he might win.

You know, while not being the most intelligent duelist in the show, like the creator said, Joey is the strongest duelist in Yugioh. He doesn't have the ability to manipulate destiny like Atem, doesn't have loads of cash to buy all the cards in the world like Kaiba but despite dueling mostly cheaters, he holds his own. Just look at Battle City. His first duel, cheater. Second Duel, Cheater. Fourth Duel, got stuck by *FUCKING LIGHTNING* and survived.
