“There’s a time to quantize and there’s a time to use your natural feel!!” One of the best points ever! The balance between my internal feel groove clock and that classic MPC swing! Great video! Thanks for the inspiration!!

to see an arrangement mode in the mpc nowadays is so funny to me. I used to make music on a Roland MV8800. They had this feature already almost 20 years ago! I wished Roland woul've kept making newer versions of the mv8800. But I gotta say the MPC key37 looks really appealing to me

Hey dude, I know you’re creative and thinking 2GB of RAM in 2024 seems low, but here’s the thing-you might not fully understand the technical side. The MPC runs on a Linux-based OS that’s optimized for audio production, meaning it doesn’t need huge RAM. With a quad-core ARM processor and fast cache memory, it handles tasks in real-time without lag. The system prioritizes efficiency over raw specs, and more RAM just isn’t necessary for its design.
@theguacamoleman601924 күн бұрын
@@Eric_In_SF thank you for explaining that. I kept seeing people hate on it but never understood how the system actually uses ram compared to a normal PC

Great Video Yaahn. I don’t usually comment but you are fast becoming my must see teacher. I’m looking forward to even more of your videos. You have a great teaching style. It’s relaxed and easy to follow. I got a MPC Key 37 earlier this year and I’m really hungry to learn and get the best out of it. I love the funky grooves you are laying down in your tutorials. It makes the videos are even better. This unit and the MPC is all about the groove for me. I would love to see a video on Grooves and Quantising as there is a lot to take in, with the use of samples and sampling, getting it all to sync with your chosen tempo, but still staying natural and loose. It would also be nice to see you put together a full song including vocals, to show how it can all come together. I would like to see how you leave space for a vocalist in the verses, changing up the drums to announce the Pre-Chorus into the Chorus etc. Anyhow you are definitely one to watch going forward. I look forward to more great videos from you. Thanks, from a UK Bro.

Actually, if you read up on it, a lot of people actually prefer the newer 37 since it’s kind of addresses all the flaws of the 61

8 gigs of Ram would be good, but they would have to increase the plug-in track limits, and audio track limit in standalone to take advantage of it.
@adamb.63592 ай бұрын
I went with the key 61 just because it had a slightly heavier instrument library and additional ram. But I agree the 37 is the best bang for your buck all in one sequencer/workstation.

I think 2 is enough… I’ve not run into much issues where I run out…. If I do I sample to drum/keygroup programs… 3.0 disk streaming is a game changer… it’s not like an mpc has the OS overhead that a pc/Mac has… windows uses at least 2gb of ram at idle…. Mpc doesn’t need any desktop environment which is a primary resource hog on pc’s…
