This is best weatherproof outdoor ip camera in the market for the price. mine is working since 3 years fully exposed to elements. The Wi-Fi reception range is very good which is a nice feature which is seldomly compared.

The best review on this security cam on KZbin. Can I ask you can I download the footage stored on the sd card from app or I must pull the sd card out of the webcam? I don't want to use yi cloud because I have slow Internet connection.

Hi there! Thank you for the comment and feedback. Yes! It is possible to download the video on mobile, through the Yi home app. However, removing and reading sdcard will not help as the video file may not be readable. (i tried doing it long back and was unsuccessful. Couldn't recall the reason. Files were in different format and not well named i think). But through the app, its just a grab of the video that you can do. While watching the live or recorded footage on mobile (streams directly from camera) , there is an option to record it. That part till you hit the stop button gets stored on your phone. Its good for recording short duration of clips. But not suitable for downloading hours together or full day footage. Hope this helps! You can. But its very hard to find the right video file. The file names of the video does not contain any hint on the date and time of recording.

If i recall, There is a small pin hole inside the sdcard compartment. (you need to remove one screw). Need to just keep it pressed for 3 to 5 seconds and it gets reset. Do take care not to poke into the microphone hole!

Yes. Atleast in my package, I did not get any micro sd card. MicroSD card is needed. Else the camera would not work.
