I might be all alone on this but I like the old payouts. I can do more with a lump sum as i'm building an acct. Props to yeildmax they figured out a way to meet demand. Not complaining i just need to readjust my strategy.

I'm very happy about the addition of call spreads being a strategy they can use now. This should help with NAV preservation, as wells as capture more upside potential that was previously lost due to the covered call strike price capping the gains on days TSLY has a huge spike. These recent changes, plus weekly distributions for YMAX will prove to be very positive for Yieldmax. We should also see less YMAX distribution/share dilution which was a common complaint. With the individual funds now grouped and staggered to pay every 4 weeks, we should see less of the impact of the dilution issue with YMAX's distributions.

With these changes in ym, defiance and rh, the next thing I’m gonna look for if possible is which weekly fund is highest yield/nav stability/tax efficient. A little bit of decline is fine because you can offset that with your buying and drip strategy.

RoD, start asking the hard questions to Jay. You had them the day before but when it came to the interview, you rolled over. Now that you have had time to digest the information, schedule another interview? Ask him if they are changing the Bad Habits of some fund managers. What us the ration of fund mangers to funds? How many mangers are Actively working these funds, and does one group now have 1 manager? Instead of raising the price to $50 and then have the NAV drop to 25, why don't they just FIX the problem and fire some of his buddies? Do less per week, but drill in more on 2 or 3. Don't fall into the trap of others, and just be a YES reporter, time to pick your game up and break some eggs?

Here in Las Vegas, some companies pay weekly. Also, there's something nationwide called Daily Pay, which many major corporations offer employees. You work today, and can withdraw a portion of your pay tomorrow.

This is a gimmick. They just staggered the single stock funds’ payment dates so that the funds of funds can pay 4 times/month. But it’s not a real economic change - the underlying trading strategy hasn’t changed. Roundhill (which I don’t own or care about) trades daily, so makes sense for them to pay weekly. Yieldmax is faking this - they don’t trade daily so this is just a clumsy attempt to imitate Roundhill. Some funds getting penalized in meantime by having their next distributions pushed back to enable this nonsense.

These call spreads are hilarious. YieldNothin thinks it allows them cover to continue their bad habit of writing weekly calls that are too tight, but the spread is showing to be too far away to actually do anything so they end up paying money to close blown strikes AND paying money to close spreads that don't hit.
