Rod, Roddy, Rodster you keep lamenting the lowering of the implied volatility rate. When we had a high implied volatility rate, we had weeks upon weeks of call options getting blown through. Maybe, just maybe it’s challenging to have both. Most of October, all of November, and a little of December were complete losses when it came to collecting premiums.

Thanks for the updates ROD. Why doesn't MSTY sell ITM calls when their synthetic is up? They can guarantee the time value as return and still protect on the downside. And if you get a selloff you'll get a huge return on the ITM calls. Can you ask Jay that?

That’s not in their prospectus and why would we want to be capped in the money on a bull run?

@@RetireonDividends They aren’t capped. They buy OTM calls already. Why not sell some ITM calls when the mNaV gets inflated and the price is high? Not now but would have been brilliant in early December with very little downside. You are guaranteed to get the extrinsic value and have downside protection. If it goes up a little you are capped but if it goes up a lot the OTM calls pay. If it goes down you get a huge payday on the ITM calls. Either way you are guaranteed the extrinsic value which is what they look to capture anyway. Think about it ROD. What’s the point of selling only OTM calls when the stock is clearly overextended? Also I’m not sure what the prospectus says but I doubt it dictates the strike prices or whether they need to be OTM. After all when the stock goes up they are ITM anyway. You should ask Jay. He’ll understand immediately and he will also know what the prospectus actually does and does not allow
