What is a Yin Release in Naruto? What is Yang Release in anime? Better yet what is Yin-Yang Release? How can they be used? Who can use them? I have the answers!

I actually had a theory that the reason wood style is so hard to replicate is because it’s not a keke Genkai it’s a keke tota come binding water earth and yang. Think about it, the only reason Yamato successfully integrated Hashirama’s cell it’s because his clan had the ability to alter their physical form into smoke which I see your rise is an advanced form of Yang release.

Excuse me... Shizune can do what!?!? I wonder if Hashirama's regenerative abilities and by extension Mitotic generation and Naruto's rapid regeneration are a result of Yang release? Also... Even though we know wood style is a combination of water and earth, Hashirama was quite literally creating life with his Wood release I wonder if there is some connection to yang release there and why it was so hard to replicate? I mean take Yamato's WR, it was very 2x4 and block-like in nature. He could only make structures it seems, while Hashiramas were literal forests with properties of life... Idk just interesting to think about.

You stumbled onto some correct things here, hashiramas wood release can only be achieved (without his cells being grafted onto you) using yinyang release, by using yinyang in conjunction with earth and water release you can create living life forces that follow your imagination (wood) we know this because moegi has wood release

My opinion is that using wood release in the scale that Hashirama used it originally required you to be Ashura's reincarnation(God). Only god is able to create life out of his imagination(yang). He creates his 1000 hand statue which is god buddha, and he was the one that knew god's ways. Interestingly, many consider buddha to be the chinese god while he is the mohammed of buddhaist god. He just knew the god's ways. That way the rinnegan offered all those godly capabilities allowing Nagato to call himself a god. Nagato being a Uzumaki child of prophecy with senju (ashura's blood) and possessing uchiha(indra's) eyes was able to call himself god (small scale hagoromo). Rinnegan projects and governs life and death, while Ashura's reincarnate's chakra has the ability to create it, thus allowing Tobirama to bring people back from the dead. This is quite theological, as Kishimoto really wrote the series to have the foundation and laws of nature from Buddhaist and Hinduist world laws.

Just to add, Hagoromo possesing both God elements: The Rinnegan and Godly Chakra is able to live multidimensionally, create life, project his abilities to others, split chakra and mold different shapes of chakra beasts etc. When god creates he uses energy and thoughts, without energy thoughts dont come alive. Human has the mind of god- he is able to think of things, project thoughts onto material and combine it with energy and work and create. Energy has the ability of god but no mind to create anything. As soon as human learned how to use energy he started creating and created civilization. Thats the whole point of this. 😅 I hope you find this helpful!

My personal headcannon is that mokuton is actually pure yang release. He pumps yang into surrounding plants and is thus able to guide the plant's growth and movement. This explains why none of the other senju's have it despite it supposedly being a kekkai genkai, because they were trying the wrong thing. Probably, if you used it in other environments, you would get different results, like cactus release in the desert or seaweed release in kiri

There's also a huge aspect of Yang Release that you skipped over - Life energy. Naruto had the Yang half of Kurama sealed inside of him, and therefore his Chakra mode radiated with Yang life energy - giving more life to plants and even enhancing his own healing since the beginning of the story. This makes sense for the Senju and Uzumaki to inherit as they have incredible healing and life force. Because of this I have these headcanons that Naruto is terrible at genjutsu but has great physical knockout power and recovery due to the Nine-tails physical half being within him, and also that Wood Release might actually be a Kekkei Tota rather than a Kekkei Genkai, especially cause of the line of one ANBU member saying Hashirama uses his chakra as a life source for his plants to grow.

Love the video! You shoulda talked more about how the rinnegan used yin-yang release though. I have no idea if it’s fact but it makes a lot of sense. I found the explanation well done, except for one thing and arguably the most important and difficult to understand. If according to what you say is true. Than Yin release is created by spiritual energy and Yang release physical energy. Then there would be no such thing as Yin release chakra or Yang release chakra. As chakra is the combination of both spiritual and physical energy. Thus the most logical conclusion is that Yin release is actually composed of chakra. A uniquely made chakra, which is primarily spiritual energy with trace amounts of physical energy, the ratio depending on the technique. Same principle applies to Yang release. This can also explain why even though techniques like shadow paralysis which are Yin release, requires chakra and not just spiritual energy. The chakra used must be comprised of chakra with mainly spiritual energy, and small amounts of physical energy as-well, allowing it to physical affect the world. Reinforcing why it is a secret clan technique that few can use even though learning the hand signs are easy. As the clan closely guards the chakra moulding ratio, to prevent no clan users from using it. Could also probable explain why we never saw someone with the sharigan copy secret clan techniques. Not saying it impossible but it would be incredibly difficult. As for Yin-Yang release, it is simultaneously using Yin chakra and Yang chakra in a technique. Thus able to take full advantage of both the chakras properties. Yin chakra being to create something from nothing/imagination. And Yang Chaka to turn the new Yin form into something tangible and physical real. Thus allowing someone to create something entirely from chakra, that behaves exactly the same way as non chakra counterparts. Examples are the tailed beast. Creatures that are fundamentally created from chakra yet are real living entities, with flesh and cells. Capable of producing physical and spiritual energy to regenerate their expended chakra. Honestly not a massive fan of Hagoromo, but he has my deep respect for creating the tailed beasts.

There is indeed Yin chakra and Yang chakra.......it's just that the spiritual energy for Yin is at least greater in ratio than the physical...like in my headcanon is 85% spiritual and 15% physical. Even without the ratio talk....specific chakra nature/type are created based on their combination. Senjutsu Chakra for example, is a very specific term used first during Pain arc but it's a combination of physical, spiritual and nature energy.

If you want to really get into it, Tobirama using Yang Release can also kinda be explained by his use of Water Release Ninjutsu. He was able to create water out of nowhere, something a lot of ninja cannot do. Technically, that's giving nothingness form in the shape of water.

However, the jutsu doesn't grant the ability to bestow new powers or restore lost ones, such as regenerating a lost Sharingan. A disturbing fact: yin and yang release is literally chakra minipulation but really advanced.think about it , shadow clones can technically be yin and yang release since you can't causally use chakra to make a copy of yourself that is bad an illusion and can do same things that you can do and they have their own free will and can betray you.

When using Izanagi to alter an event, the new reality must fall within the realms of possibility for that specific moment. For example, if a user is about to be struck by a lethal attack, they can use Izanagi to alter reality so that they evade the attack. But the alteration must be something conceivable within the context of that situation. The jutsu doesn't allow for arbitrary changes that don't align with the user's capabilities or the situation's dynamics. Each use of Izanagi is about addressing a specific, immediate threat or situation, not undoing the state that has already been established by previous uses of the jutsu.
