Yishun Bus Interchange CONGESTION 2019.. (Singapore Buses)

Yishun Integrated Transport Hub (or Yishun Bus Interchange) opened much awaited by many, as Northpoint gets an additional mall, Northpoint City; that came with the interchange, on 8th Sept 2019.
9 September 2019 marked the first weekday of the bus interchange's operations, but was caught with traffic jams and delays leading to it, due to numerous factors:
- The new bus interchange had 2 entrances but one exit (previous temporary interchange had 2 exits/entrances and were in 2 different locations)
- It was relatively smaller compared to the temporary interchange
- Bus captains are much more cautious when using the new interchange; thus slower traffic
- Too many buses with too many services ending at one same place.

Was kinda sad that the designers of integrated transport hub didn't learn from the issues similarly faced in Bedok interchange. Sengkang and Serangoon Interchange were less affected since there are much lesser bus services in those integrated transport hub.

Looks like the contractor only has experience building a carpark for condos, not a bus interchange below condos..

Problem is parking lots,Average of 1-2 lots for each service and LTA forget that Yishun has number of high loadings feeder service.Same case like Bukit Panjang and CCK..BCs always get less mealbreaks due to parking woes..To have world class transport you also need world class driver welfare too.Hope the future ITH of Jurong East,CCK,PSR etc will have more parking lots.

This Scene of long Bus Traffic jam also happens when Newly opening of New Bus Interchange First Day operations just like New Bedok Bus Interchange opened at Bedok Mall Integrated.

The Former Temporary Bus Interchange should have diverted some services to operate just like Sengkang Bus Interchange with the opening of Compass Vale Bus Interchange.

This Traffic Jam caused me to be late to sch... ggwp i wonder why they never learned from bedok intechange.. later woodlands and cck ith like this ppl complain already. Many buses went back to depot to make space for more buses to come in.
