Most fights I've been in and have seen were due to everybody being messed up on alcohol. I have witnessed DEATH due to alcohol. A music venue in my city would offer 25 cent pitchers of beer and it would end up being a violent bloodbath. (Harpo's, Detroit) I have seen over a thousand concerts and nightclubs throughout America. In NO CASE where people were smoking marijuana did violence occur. Absolutely NONE. They all stood in a circle and talked about music, art and life while laughing. My Japanese brothers and sisters have been lied to by a conservative government. Alcohol, tobacco and heroin will ruin you and steal your money.
@sergbastian5 Жыл бұрын
There are many studies that prove Marijuana helps with muscle and bone injuries, but if you use it recreationally every day, it can be a difficult thing to use around people who aren't comfortable with it. But in general, it's much less addictive than alcohol and causes less problems socially than other drugs. I smoked weed every day for about 10 years and I stopped for financial reasons, but I'm trying to stop drinking alcohol now and that is much more difficult. Alcohol is much more addictive and destructive than weed. I think a better question is, should we legalize it for medical reasons? Smoking weed for fun is nice but the medical uses are very important.
@Yllah Жыл бұрын
i had no clue it was.less addictive than alcohol
@roborbiettinoisgone3929 ай бұрын
Alcohol is genuinely so bad. Weed can cause health problems mainly due to to the fact that smoking is the main route of administration, but outside of that, it's extremely safe. Alcohol on the other hand, is extremely harmful. Alcohol withdrawals are some of the few withdrawals that can actually cause you to die, iirc only Benzos and alcohol can actually cause seizures due to withdrawal.
@ryo-kai85872 ай бұрын
@@Yllah As far as I can tell, weed isn't really chemically addictive like alcohol or tobacco, or other drugs-you just get accustomed to it and usually don't want to stop because it's a nice way to relax and zone in on stuff. I've taken huge breaks multiple times, and the biggest issue might just be having trouble falling asleep for the first few nights without it. Nothing even close to withdrawals from other substances.

I've been saying this for a long time. I live in the Bay Area and ya know, we do have a lot of Asian influence, which has definitely impacted the culture all throughout the West Coast, but I think especially San Francisco and Vancouver. In some ways we could learn from their example, because we are a little too loosey goosey western and crazy at times. On the flipside though, I think they could honestly benefit from cannabis, and some entheogens like mushrooms, because they have some beautiful philsophies, and they're so disciplined, but the mental fatigue and work stress and everything is too extreme. I would like to see Japan legalize cannabis, maybe do a little mushroom therapy or something, and heal a lot of that.

It's a nice topic but it kind of lacks something. I think they should have mentioned some positive/negative effects of cannabis to make them think deeper into it and probably even change their opinion.
@ReeseChown8 ай бұрын
The only negative effects of weed will be you laughing at things that aren't funny, eating everything in sight, and listening to music for hours. If you smoke 70 to 99% THC cartridges, you may get addicted. That's all.

I just found this channel by the algorithm. I absolutely believe that Japan should legalize Cannabis. No non related human should have the authority to tell another adult human what they can and cannot put into their body. That is only relegated to parents and underaged or live in children etc. The first 3-4 guys had it right. People need to quit being easily controlled into thinking a certain way.

LOL, Believe you me Alcohol companies couldn't care less whether it's legal or not would not effect alcohol sales in any meaningful way whatsoever. There are no cases of countries where it is currently legalized where it effect alcohol sales in anyway. If anything, big companies would welcome it because it would mean another means of making money for them. The same thing that happened in the US, it might start out with small independent businesses but very soon it would basically be dominated by big companies and it would turn into any other market
@Cleosz Жыл бұрын
In the japanese scenario I don't see many reasons to legalise it (I could be wrong), but I also don't see why to keep it illegal. It is a completely different reality in my country, Brazil, where the marijuana plays a important role in the black culture even though it is illegal. A portion of the men population in social vulnerability goes to prison just for carrying a few grams. Not to mention the racist war on drugs and police violence that kills people every day in here. That's why we fight for drugs decreminalization, this is fighting for black rights. Nice video! 💕

According to Funai Yukio legalizing and regulating it would net 30 trillion ¥ in revenue "in the long term" (open democracy didn't specify in their article how long, dunno why). That's a third of Japan's annual budget though, so not an insignificant amount of money. Their CBD market is already worth 800 million annually. That's a lot of jobs and wealth created practically from thin air. You just have to get the alcohol companies and their lobbies on board with this.
I`ll tell you about my recent experience with this, Looked up weed is illegal in Japan then went to Japan a few weeks ago for the first time. While walking around saw a shop that had cbd something medical marijuna written on front, went inside and they guys were like yeah its legal cos its just cbd wax. I havnt smoked in a long time so I hit it and man it was good so relaxing without the overwhelming high feeling. Then we met up with some international friends for dinner and drinks that we hadn`t seen for 10 years. I mentioned to them about the cbd experience and they were like oh you smoke? we have actual weed if you want we smoke all the time. I was like wow thats cool I thought it was illegal here and hard to get, they said its THCA which apparently is legal but then as soon as you smoke it it turns to thc. Well anyway one puff and I was smashed. So there must be some technicality in Japan with it and from that experience Im assuming alot of people smoke its just not spoken about.
