Pardon my French, but you obviously don't understand the Norwegian society and humour at all. This video is not about protecting your own land. In Norway, the land is mostly seen as a common asset, and even if it is privately owned, the public has the right to use it in many ways. Like hiking and camping, even collecting berries and mushrooms. This video is a parody of "Heal the world", "Bandaid" and similar projects. They managed to compress an almost absurd amount of Norwegian celebrities into a few minutes of music, for a cause that seems meaningless for most Norwegians. Who reads these information signs in the age of Google anyway :)

That is how every Norwegians speak German, when they are not very good at it. My fathers German is just like that. Norwegian for drive is Kjøre KJ sounds Close to H to the German ear. The German tourist sings KJØREN. A very Ylvish-joke, where they often intentionally put a Norwenglish or in this case norgerman word in for humourous effect.

Just to add to your already extended knowledge of Ylvis and Norway: The Norwegian government spent close to a staggering 100 million dollars on a road,and what's called the "Atlantic Tunnel",to Averøya (population 5500). The road is known as the "Atlantic gate-way",and it quickly became a tourist attraction. But there was no money left over for a tourist information road-sign (I guess it falls under the municipal budget),witch had no money set aside for this. A tourist information poster cost less than a monthly average salary in Norway,so that's the irony....
@joyc945011 жыл бұрын
Trond Tangen Thanks so much for the background information! Yes - kind of crazy that the government spent all that money and didn't set aside money for the sign. I agree that it's more ironic that the city couldn't afford to buy the sign. But, leave it to Ylvis to find a comical way to make it happen.
