Honestly I love the consistent use of Ghibli movie tracks in this video, Drangleic, gives me a darker version of the vibes that ghibli does in a lot of their soft post-apocalyptic settings. Obviously there aren't any ravenous undead or anything *usually* so blatantly violent or dangerous, but a lot of the locations in DS2 have a sense of stillness to them that the other games kinda lack in my mind. People living out their existence despite the curse slowly and inevitably making them eventually go hollow. It's a very somber idea compared to the rest of the series and I really like that you kinda highlighted that, intentionally or not.

Super interesting way to play the game, also learned some tricks from this. Just one nitpick, cant you get Giant seeds after killing Last Giant? Just use that, jump to the tower before Smelter that has no other way to enter than jumping. Use the seed, let the Alonne knights kill Dennis. Worked every time on SL1.

In order to leave a covenant you need to abandon it via Shalquoir the cat or by joining another covenant (technically it's never referred to as "leaving" in game, it's always "abandoning"). So it was a joke about leaving the covenant by selecting the "Leave menu" option.
