@@DrunkenEros: the VA (And guy in the suit originally), Jason Johnson did an interview with Super media Bro’s that you can find on KZbin that goes into it fully, and I recommend watching it and their other stuff in relation to Cool Cat and Derek Savage since I know I’m gonna forget stuff, but the Cliffnotes version is that Derek: Semi-consistently threatened to replace Jason, withheld pay until Jason did some stuff for him, broke into someone’s house because he thought Jason and the Mama Cat’s actress were doing some stuff, did some legitimately weird things on set, credited people who weren’t in the movie or straight up didn’t exist, gave Jason somewhere around 5th billing instead of 1st despite him being the lead actor, etc etc, again, go check out the interview for the full story, it’s a mess

Like he doesn't want to break the immersion that Cool Cat is a real being (He's not even listed as ' Cool Cat Mascot/Voice', he's just listed as ' Cool Cat'. Mama Cat meanwhile has a voice and 2 mascot credits (even though Jason has said before he was in the costume as well. The writing contest scene where Mama Cat's leg was visibly shaking? That was Jason-he was incredibly uncomfortable in it since Derek was touching Mama Cat's leg for an uncomfy amount of time. He also wanted Jason to bring Cool Cat dvds to any acting auditions he went to. I think another reason hes no longer Cool Cat is because Derek relocated to Las Vegas while Jason stayed in California, and I doubt Derek would help him pay for travel (he already apparently heavily underpays his cast. When someone offered to draw a cover for his Bible Birdie book, he offered the guy 5 bucks and said 'you can buy yourself a nice lunch with that', then went back on the offer once he saw the guy made videos making fun of Cool Cat. I'm assuming they worked things out since he does use the cover now (unless he stole it and figured 'it was drawn for me therefore I can use it, even though I didn't pay)

If the buddy had a business screen-printing cloth masks, then he'd be selling screen-printed cloth masks. Everything about Derek's movies seems dictated by what's available to him for cheap/free- He met Eric Estrada at the hairdresser, or the gym or something, so the Cool Cat movies get Eric Estrada in them. Derek went to some party where he got introduced to the guy with "the world's only privately-owned Harrier Jump Jet", so the Cool Cat movies get a Harrier Jump Jet in them. But apparently, no-one in Derek's circle knows a graphic designer. He could pay $10 on Fiverr, to get some 16yo in Lithuania to make a poster/DVD-cover 50x better than the one he's using... but Derek can't get it direct, thru his circle of friends, so he just keeps farting out the DVD covers himself, in MS Paint...

Word of mouth is the cheapest and easiest way to keep yourself running off your feet all day. Assuming you’re a good welder, YOU CAN DO IT! Baby steps and lots of advice-gathering - more people want to help you than want you to fail. 👍🙂 My marketing budget was literally $0.00. Clients couldn’t wait to send friends and family to me for real estate transactions and estate planning because they knew that I was good at it, from personal experience. Before you know it, you’ll be retired early and killing time writing youtube comments. 😂 Edit: no matter what they say, NOBODY has gotten a successful business off the ground without plenty of help from others. Build yourself a network and you can ‘give and take’ advice, materials, and referrals, especially if you’ve got a type of welding you’re particularly good at. Better, you’ll get ‘inside info’ about how to run a welding business - insurers, bookkeeper/accountant, banking - all the non-welding stuff that is intimidating. You don’t have to reinvent the wheel, just use a good business template. Most importantly, find a *good* mentor - they will save you endless amounts of anxiety and grief (and maybe cost). Final edit: DO NOT do work for your own friends and family. Just refuse no matter how much they complain about paying someone else. It’s a no-win for you if there’s the slightest error or misunderstanding. Tell them you value the relationship over a welding job, sorry. And stick to it. You know, if you like them and all. 😉

A Harrier is just a model of jet used by several NATO countries that can VTOL (take off vertically). It's the jet that looks kinda chunky and has the two giant air intakes to either side of the cockpit.

@@PointsofData It’s a quite cool aircraft because of its VTOL capabilities, but They are also notoriously dangerous to fly because of that. Also; They are originally british-made planes, not american, which may have something to do with it as well. They are featured in the masterpiece True Lies with Arnie, though.

I don't know if he particularly cares about bullying, but he probably saw that the anti-bullying movement was getting a lot of public attention. I don't know if he particularly cares about the environment, but he saw that a lot of people are concerned about climate change so he made "Cool Cat Goes Grink." Then COVID became the only thing anyone was talking about so he started working on Cool Cat Fights Coronavirus, which came out in 2021. And he had his weird tiny Cool Cat masks made, seemingly this year. And he's starting to make a movie about Cool Cat vs. the Dirty Dog Virus just as the COVID pandemic is reaching its lowest point. It's actually kind of fun to try and predict what current events he will jump on next. Cool Cat vs. the Asteroid Cool Cat vs. Putin Cool Cat vs. Inflation
