“How do two brothers get into the nail care business?” This is the single most common question people ask us. There’s a long and rocky version but we’ll give you the short one. We have our fearless and unconventional mother, Young Salo, to thank. With a single-minded entrepreneurial spirit, she decided to start her own business at the age of 49. She had a passion for the nail industry and we did everything in our power to support her. In the end, this is a family business.
Greg, the older brother, became a licensed nail technician after switching gears from fire fighter’s training. He is energy personified and has a true passion for developing the best professional nail care products and education. Habib is the younger brother. He jumped in a few years later; taking a detour from medical school and a life in music. He brings his own creative mind for business, marketing and strategy. Unexpectedly, we are a perfect team.
Today, more than 20 years later, Young Nails Inc., is a professional nail care manufacturing company exporting to over 40 countries worldwide and distributing domestically to over 3000 stores. We’re respected for our next-level product innovation and education. Our mission is to bring you the best quality products and we’ll show you how to use them with incredible results. It’s really that simple.
Welcome to the Young Nails family!

Man I just want to thank you for all your knowledge. I just started doing nails , and u literally are the reason to my success, considering I never went to school for nails. But as a kid watching my mother do nails, I told my wife , I can do your nails. Lol and so started my path learning this nail game and began to only watch your videos. Where I'm going with all this is your videos are so indepth, and to the point , and the way you explain the importance to detail. So thank you so much for you passion, and love for what you do.

Oh I remember being in Louisville!!! Love it! Haven't been there in a long time. But I have memories there. (Which I'm not gonna get into) but I'm from WV, had a best friend that lived Pikeville, my ex husband is from Williamson, which boarders on Kentucky and WV....... anyway..... I live in PA now, completely different life now. But you've made me think of and miss the good ol days. Lol. I did get my nails done a few times in Louisville and THEY SUCKED!!! I wish you had been there then!!! But I do nails myself now. And I've learned more from this channel than ANY classes I ever took! And paid for!

Not to mention this city has come a long way when it comes to nails in the past 15 years.. but I will say I’ve noticed a lot of nail artists that work for themselves are using young nails products! Also I’ve got an Instagram where you can see my work... it’s called Artistry Addict Nails... if u get a chance check it out... I’d love to hear your thoughts and what you think!!

Great advice here! I love watching videos with showing the mistake first and what is done wrong and then you show the correct way. Because if you only show the correct way inevitably you deviate from it a bit and you don't think what you might do wrong.

So this applies to short ombré nails as well right? I tried it and the pink didn’t look so seem less like this one. Maybe I need a wetter bead than what I was doing? Would you recommend a smaller brush for this? Thanks Greg! 🥰
@youngnailsinc
@youngnailsinc 2 ай бұрын
On shorter nails, you may need to use smaller pearls so you don't apply too much product. The brush he is using in the video is a size 12 but if you drain more liquid out, you can still pick up small pearls with this size brush. If your colors don't seem to blend well, you may need to try a different color. We recommend our Cover powders for ombres as they blend well with the whites.

Is it possible to use builder gel as protective base layer underneath acrylic? Or will acrylic and/or nail glue not stick well to the builder gel?
@Tata-iu3fy
@Tata-iu3fy 3 жыл бұрын
They go together. Just make sure that you file the gel so it is not a smooth surface.
@youngnailsinc
@youngnailsinc 2 ай бұрын
We do not recommend applying acrylic over a hard gel. Gels are non-porous and acrylic doesn't adhere well to that non-porous surface, so you may experience chipping or peeling of the acrylic from the gel.

OK I've asked my mom who is a boomer, what did you get on your nails when you wore them. She said basically it's either a natural look or you have the "French" natural and the "American" manicure. I'm 40 and I've always had color but I love the nude natural look. It's funny calling it a boomer style.
