I was not taught half of what I've learned on KZbin at my actual nail school,where I paid a lot of money to go. Thank you guys, much appreciated ♥️ EDIT; half way through the video I thought "hm, wonder what he'd do with his own nail" and BAM right at the end it's like he read my mind. 👏👏 Great educational channel guys I love it

I can't remember if I have ever requested for a video like this but I'm so glad you guys made it happen. I have a natural c-curve to my nail and it also grows downward. Applying the form is a huge challenge because it wants to tilt downward and when I apply product, it seeps underneath my hyponychium. I can't fit the form on my nails to save my life. When I do have the form on somewhat decent, the application is difficult. I have to build the free edge a little higher than how my natural nail grows and file the sidewalls quite a bit to have a proper looking nail. I've given up on forms but after seeing this video, I will give it another try but I can't guarantee that forms will be my favorite way of doing nails...as least on me.

Omg I get extended hyponychium under some of my nails when my nails grow long. My middle finger gets it and I hate it. I also have it on all of my toes. I had no idea it had a name or why it was happening. I actually have a few of these issues. I have deep c curve, square nails, and the extended hyponychium. I was having so many issues with these forms using them on myself. This video was so, so helpful!

Pinching a sculptures nail helps with forming the c-curve and achieving good structure. 😊

I have long natural nails. I prefer my natural nails. I have a natural great arch, C curve is pretty tight, etc. I see flaws in them but not many others do. But because I'm able to maintain good healthy long natural nails, that's my preference for me. I also have a high hyponychium. I've just always kinda pushed it back on myself when I do my weekly manicures, or if I need to clean dirt or nasty from under the nail. I don't cause pain or bleeding.

What do you do if your client have nails that ae slightly growing upwards and they want to grow them. How do you place the form then (also kind of flat nail no c curve). Cause if i want to place a nailform withou leaking points the form wil point upwards.
@youngnailsinc6 жыл бұрын
Shorten the natural nail, the key contact for the form is the center of the nail.
@seannwakefieldcossetnails78746 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for this video🌹 can you please do a video on acrylics that contains MMA? The reasons why I ask is because I don't work on other nail technicians products so I do a soak before my set, but I would like to know if my clients maybe had MMA on they're nails before they came to me as this can be a liability for my business. Thanks xxx

Seann Wakefield Cosset Nails that's an excellent question.

I know this is really old but I recently saw a post from a nail tech that ran into some MMA and she showed pictures! It was so gummy and stringy! She said you could just tell the difference because it was SO MUCH harder to get off, even the e-filing was a lot more difficult than non-MMA acrylic!

What about the client that comes in with super thick high sidewalls? I see that the most. Usually just on one corner. I will have issues with it gapping or popping up & a piece of it curing into the gel. So pretty much the side wall come out as far as the free edge & is thick, usually hard causing the form to get all kinds of crazy. Thanks!

Do I HAVE TO use nails forms if the nail tips you guys provided don’t work on my fingers? I got the kit so I’m trying to work with what I got. Was really trying to practice nail tips on myself before I learned forms. The tips just aren’t working for me...salons always use tips on me so idk.
@youngnailsinc2 жыл бұрын
Tips are kind of a "one size fits most" product. Everyone's nails have a different shape and curve, so not every tip will fit every nail. If your nails are too flat and don't fit the C-curve of the tips, try a size bigger and file the sides of the tip off. This way, it will fit flush down to the nail. If your nails are too wide for the tips, we would recommend sculpting. This is one of the main reasons we do teach sculpting with forms as you can customize forms to fit every nail shape and size.

So how do we fit forms on nails that are really badly bitten, worse then what you showed us, and small nail beds pls . Thanks guys x
@youngnailsinc6 жыл бұрын
On an extremely bitten nail you can build out a thin layer of acrylic out just onto their skin. once it is dry the skin pulls away from the acrylic. Now you can slide the form under that thin layer

I have a question what about people with downwards nails( normally black girls) strong c curve and downwards? I am used to tips, form is definitely challenging
@youngnailsinc11 ай бұрын
When sculpting on nails that tend to curve downward, we recommend clipping off the majority of the free edge so you can build the nail straight out. As for strong c-curves, you may need to customize the form and pinch it tight for the correct shape. Check out this video for more info about customizing your forms. Specifically around 3:39. kzbin.info/www/bejne/naGZkmCnaMllfqMsi=vBUDLHsQBeJRez-o
