As a young guitar player in the 80s i was blown away by Mr. Malmsteen, nothings changed. 😊

I was born in Tacoma. I saw Yngwie here in Seattle in the Paramount Theater in the early 90s.

The SO and I were there as well! This was the encore. She and I had been 3rd row, stage left (audience right) and had made our way to the back of the theater in order to get a head start on the traffic by this time. Great show! 🤘😎

Best I can count from the moving camera shots - 56 Marshall heads. No idea how many he’s actually playing through, but you’ve got to hand it to the guy for putting on a show.

I can tell you that only one cab was mic’ed, stage right, bottom row. That should tell you something. 😉

Did somebody bring an old SPX90 to the gig and shove it centre stage hoping to sell it?

Saw him just last weekend at The Dalles. Great show but I'm sure he was disappointed in the crowd turnout. Obviously not his fault I don't think they promoted that show very well. But I love being right next to the stage.

Love Yngwie. I just think he improvises too much live with the solos. I think people wanna hear something close the record with the solos. LIve he's just playing fast way too much and loses any melody . Just my opinion.
@kenzerh2 ай бұрын
@bluezsb i agree. Plus in most if the songs he does one verse then solos shortening the whole song such as in Rising force.
@Strato132 ай бұрын
Actually. I agree with you. I'm a long-time fan of his, and I have seen him during his early years during thr 80's, 90'a, and 2000+'s... more recently about 5 years ago or so at the Saban Theater in Beverly Hills.. and he played this exact same set/ playlist. He used to play very closely to his solos, almost note for note, and was much more melodic. Now it's just cheap improvisation, and honestly, I feel like he's selling his fans short. He never left his inner circle, never fully explored his guitar, never really did more than what he's already done, in itself which was great.

I wonder if he ever gets sick of shredding? Ok... Everyone knows how fast he is and he says he knows all their is to mucial theory. He is a phenomenal guitar player, but shredding 7 days a week gets boring, I guess.
@brucezapor5647Ай бұрын
The blur of notes gets so boring . How about a melody ? How about hooks ?
@NoNotMe0000Ай бұрын
Shredding like this is stimulating and satisfying. You don't just shred you feel and like what you're doing! If some watch great, if not, that's fine too.

WTF exactly was that performance?? I can hear a vocalist but there seems to be no singer?? And the mutton chops?? Still a fantastic axe man for sure!
