Yngwie Malmsteen Live full gig Australian Tour 2024 Sydney Liberty Hall.

It was a bit disappointing that several songs from the set list didn't get played and I missed a couple due to my GoPro Going Flat in the middle of it. Lucky I had a spare battery and got it back on.
I really enjoyed myself and thought Yngwie was in excellent form, we have to remember the man is still going strong at 60 Years of Age and is looking pretty bloody fit and healthy for his age, so he's doing well. It was also a long day for him, When I arrived to the door at 4 pm he was practicing and he didn't stop until we went in about 630pm. and that's after doing two shows in Brisbane and Melbourne the nights before, so have to give him credit. he works bloody hard.
But the real stand out performance of the night has got to go to "Steve" the Roadie, he was run of his feet and put on his own little show! what a legend! lol

Hell yeah, his Amps are on. I was crazy disappointed at the Brisbane gig. Only a few were on due to noise level restrictions. Half the reason I went there was to get blasted by them.

He is a genius but yeah, also a bit weird , eccentric dude for sure. There was also a moment in there were a guy yells out a song and Yngwie says back “last time I checked I’m not a fucken juke box, you get what you get pal” I thought that was really uncool of him and disrespectful to sY to a paying fan. Also he was looking at his watch a lot , not sure if thats to keep on top of timing or if he just wanted to go to bed already 🤣 But I still love him just the same lol 🤘

And speaking of his roadie, “Steve “ was one of the stars of the show, Yngwie obviously cares about the guy and showed him a tonne of respect and even brang him out for the band bow at the end! He is trying to adapt his shows to circunstances, but he lost most of his space among guitar heroes. Not entirely his fault. Guitar days are not the same as some decades ago

His playing and tone got back to a good level again in the last year or two but he still improvises too much for my liking and he really needs to hire an actual singer for his band again! Watch the budokan 1994 video and see how much better it was when he had an actual band.
