​@@Digitaldroid4681From my experience the game starts off really slow and stays slow for a while, constantly taking control away from the player and holding their hand. They take full control away from Luigi outside of battle and his AI isn't all that great. In battle you no longer select with B for Luigi. Luigi logic is very lame at times and when you desync from Luigi Mario has to stop what he's doing and slowly walk back to the Luigi and link up. Can only skip certain and cutscenes an It has some noticeable frame drops and long loading times. The way you traverse the sea is slow and boring. The story isn't all that great and the pacing is slow. Not a fan of the ship hub or some of the early bro moves. Collecting spritebulbs or whatever gets tedious after a while. Also the slow pan over that shows you where you need to go or of a gate opening and closing get really tedious too. The voice acting is okay. And I'm not a big fan of some of the characters. It just kind of felt like a slog to get through until around the 3rd lighthouse, thats is were I got back into it. And I haven't finished the game yet so I haven't got the full experience. But I don't know, I do enjoy the game and I like seeing the Bros be Bros. They just could have done better outside of the graphics an combat. But don't let me deter you from it if you haven't played it. It is still an enjoyable experience if you like Mario and Luigi. Very fun and cool and got some memorable moments an good gameplay. But it's just somewhat of a let down for me personally. Been waiting for this game to come out for a long time and honestly sometimes I don't feel like playing it, rather be running it on rivals 2.

Such a good game, about 50 hours in & still have plenty to do, not even fought the final boss yet. It definitely lives up to the hype, it's everything you would expect from a modern Mario & Luigi game, my only complaint is the loading times are a bit slow obviously due to the ageing hardware. I would go as far as to say it's the best one since super star saga, thankfully so far it don't have any of those annoying giant battles...
