at least JP3 kept it dark and creepy. What made the JP franchise (mainly the 1st 3 movies) special is that despite the beautiful scenery of bringing back dinosaurs, there is the horror that came with it when it came to their creation as they aren't true 1:1 paleo accurate dinosaurs along with the madness that humans delve into when creating and exploiting these creatures. This, mixed with the action and seemingly family friendly nature to make it a thriller plays out great. JW is ok. Fallen Kingdom tried to play the horror factor, but somehow failed with it. And Dominion basically copied Avengers Assembled (didn't add more to this/terrible plot direction) and is the weakest of the JW movies atm (possibly forever until something worse gets greenlit), and even the weakest in the JP franchise as a whole. Hopefully, JW: Rebirth brings back that horror element that's been lacking in the past since it has the original screenwriter and a well known good director as well as an actual coherent plot/story. And definitely should not make dumb promises that it cannot fulfill like with Dominion's villain being the "Joker" dino when what we got was just a misunderstood victim of bad writing.

I think what I'm most excited about is that we're finally getting to see Isla Sorna again after 24 years. Even though we've already had two (mediocre) movies of it already, I think it's safe to say it's the most exciting island out of them all. It's literally just an abandoned jungle full of failed experiments or dinosaurs that were too dangerous for the park in Isla Nublar (original Jurassic Park/World). In fact they were so dangerous to maintain, that after the original hurricane in the first movie, the island was completely abandoned and left the dinosaurs to live and roam freely.

I am hyped about the more accurate spinosaurus (though there are still some big innacuracies), but pretty much every other dinosaur has the classic, movie-monster design language that appeared in all the previous films. I'm predicting the writing will be pretty bad. Out of all the lines to chose to make people excited, they got "none of what you just said is good". Like is that one of your best. This line makes no sense like what was she expecting him to say, if they weren't interrupted the guy would've probably said "yeah no shit, you were literally expecting danger".
