One of my complaints with the World trilogy was that it geared more towards the action instead of the horror elements. And by the looks of the trailer it looks like it will gear towards the horror elements

Some insight on the mutant's appearance: mutations or manipulations in the homeobox genes (HOX, for short) in an animal can cause limbs or other extremities to grow in the wrong place or even duplicate. Experiments with fruit flies have resulted in insects with antennae instead of wings and eyes instead of feet! The extra pair of limbs on the D.rex may be explained by mutations in its HOX genes.

They’ve yet to reveal the Velociraptor Design for this film, and each Jurassic Park had their own unique Raptor design! I’m really excited to see what they look like!

That would make it probably over 80 years old. Even if they for whatever reason kept feeding a failed experiment it would be too old to be a threat. Rexy was getting old at the time of the last movie and the rex skeleton is probably from rexy after she died of old age

It would probably be around 50 or 60 (depending on when inGEN started testing) but for a animal like that and especially a mutant like the d rex i can't imagine a lifespan being over 30 or 40 years in perfect conditions. And thats assuming a mutated rex would for some reason be fed and freed when inGEN left the island instead of it being put down or left to starve. Imo considering the appearance of some of the tech we see biosyn came to the island at some point and the freak is one of their experiments possibly to try their hand at weaponized dinos

I thought the trailer looked jurassic-tastic. The d-rex hiding in the shadows is a good move. It'll be probably more frightening to see when the movie gets released. And the T-Rex, raptors, and the dilophosaurus returning as well is great. It wouldn't be the same without them. And the Spinosaurus finally returning after such a long time...I'm so pumped!! Can't wait for this movie!!!!

I've been a big fan of the Jurassic park movies for most of my life and also being interested in art this movie is right up my alley! not totally hooked on the d-rex design but I think over time I'll become a big fan! overall this movie is very interesting just from the first trailer alone and gets me really excited! And seeing that split second with the dilophosaurus had me giddy as well as the Spinosaurus!

As a lifelong Jurassic fan, I thought this was a pretty good first trailer. I like that it has a Arthur Conan Doyle “The Lost World” vibe to it, with the new look of dinosaurs and location, but still retains enough of the visual aesthetics to feel like the Jurassic franchise. I am a little worried about the look of the Quetz and Spinos. Not the biggest fan of the redesigns from what we could see in the trailer (spino’s neck and snout and the quetz’s beak/crest). And I was hoping to get away from hybrid/mutants. Least Indom looked like a dinosaur; this one have 6 limbs just feels alien and out of place. Still very excited but optimistic. Side note, if the spinos can swim, then Frontier better be giving us swimming dinosaurs, semi aquatic species in JWE3.

I already feel it’s gonna go like this. They extract the dna under false pretenses, the bad guys end up with the dna to create Dino hybrids on the mainland and that’s the next film.
