The doctor is played by many different actors because he is an alien who regenerates when fatally wounded. He time travels around in a blue box and picks up companions along the way. Lots of sci fi type adventures and hanging out in London.

This show is so crazy that sometimes it doesn't even make sense _with_ context, but it's probably the most fun show I've ever seen. Definitely down for more.

Honestly, this is one of my favorite shows of all time. Please, please, please, react to as many of these fan vids as you can possibly find! Old vids, new vids, they are all good! This show can make you laugh out loud one minute and have you crying like a baby in the next. it's got everything; sci-fi, action, drama, love, tragedy, friendship, family, time travel and dinosaurs. On a spaceship! No matter who you talk to, everyone has their favorite incarnation of the Doctor, but honestly, they all have their charm (some more than others) and they all have their good episodes and some not so good episodes. The Doctor is a legend, a Time Lord from the planet Galifrey, a complete madman who stole a time mashine and ran away to see the world.

I've wanted to see a reaction like this for years. Love these out of context videos especially since Doctor Who can and will do any and everything. That's how it's managed to last over 60 years now with an upcoming 40th season total, because it can constantly keep itself fresh and update with the times. Doctor Who is about a near immortal alien who loves exploring all of time and space in is special time machine for fun, though often finds themselves fighting evil monsters and people because despite not seeking out trouble he also ends up bumping into it and can't stop himself from helping out. They often travel with a human companion so that they who have seen so much can still feel the wonder through their eyes and share it together.

Yes please more reactions to Doctor Who! It's one of my favorite shows. And yes, that guy at the end was an alien. It took the form of the blonde girl's boyfriend; that episode had aliens that could make themselves look like people and even inanimate objects.

The doctor is an alien who has stolen a time machine (called tardis, looks like a blue police box for stealth) with which you can travel anywhere in time and space. He's ancient and simply regenerates into a new body when he dies (so the show can go on forever). he's done this over a dozen times. The Tardis is damaged and keeps dropping him off in the deadliest places in the universe. On the way he always picks up companions who follow him for a few years out of curiosity. The show thrives on the fact that you never know what will happen next. He can suddenly come out in the middle of an intergalactic war or he can end up on Earth in the time of the Greeks. or far in the future - or on an alien planet that is about to be destroyed, or on a huge space whale... or during an invasion of the earth by space scorpions... and and and. endless possibilities for writers to let off steam. In addition, the doctor is extremely experienced and clever (due to his extremely long life). His trademark is to defeat his enemies using only his wits (he has seen too much death and therefore values life very much).

The doctor is played by many different people because they 'regenerate' into a new body when they die; there have been 14 doctors up until now: William Hartnell, the first doctor (1963-1966) Patrick Throughton, the second (1966-1969) John Pertwee, the third (1970-1974) Tom Baker, the fourth (1974-1981) Peter Davidson, the fifth (1981-1984) Colin Baker, the sixth (1984-1986) Sylvester McCoy, the seventh (1987-1989) Paul McGann, the 8th who only appeared for a movie special (1996) is Christopher Eccleston, the ninth (2005) David Tennant, the tenth (2005-2010) Matt Smith, the eleventh (2010-2013) Peter Capaldi, the twelfth, (2013-2017) Jodie Whittaker, the thirteenth and first female presenting doctor (2017-2022) And we're now onto Ncuti Gatwa, the fourteenth and first POC doctor There's also other doctors that briefly show up in the timeline, but those are the main 14

The show is the longest running Sci-fi/fantasy TV show in the world (1963-89, 1986, and 2005-). The show is such that it has all of time and space to play with in it's stories centred around the doctor played her by David Tennant, Matt Smith, Peter Capaldi, and in 1 place each in this clip Christopher Eccleston and Jodie Whitiker (yes i spelt it wrong) - doctor 15 us played by Ncuti Gatwa. Yes do the second clip (remember tge clips are out of context - but if you were to react from the 2005 series starting with Rose i think people would be interested. @@binrotheheretic8174 I agree that the cultural influence of Doctor Who is huge, undeniably so. But I'm a little confused now about the history of the meme itself. So the source of the meme "Khajiit has wares" is a line from 2011 Skyrim. But the Doctor Who episode "New New Earth" is from 2006. The cat nuns don't have the Khajiit speech pattern of referring to themselves in third person and I don't recall any dialogue from them about trading. So how did the meme originate from the Doctor Who episode?
@binrotheheretic81749 ай бұрын
In who they're brand new in New Earth in 2006 i don't know of any connection to Skyrim so i think it would just be coincidental - i was saying that it's more probable that Skyrim being influenced from Who than the other way around 8n the same way that who has taken references from classic culture such as in the Brain of Morbius takes influence from Frankenstein (if you know that classic series story).
@seileach679 ай бұрын
@@binrotheheretic8174 Okay, I understand now. I agree about the Brain of Morbius episode. And IIRC there was an episode in 2010 during 11's run titled "A Christmas Carol" in which the Doctor made specific references to the Charles Dickens story in his plan to resolve the situation.

I'm afraid this isn't the greatest starter video for reaction, because it's too dependent on CONTEXT to be funny if you haven't seen it. It's a show about an alien (The Doctor) who travels through time and space with the intent to experience and treat others (known as companions, usually human) to other worlds and historical events. Sounds basic, but the writing is often brilliant, deep, emotional, insightful, often hilarious and also often just plain silly. It's a beautiful show that's been around for 60 years (hence the different Doctor faces but same Doctor, but they even have an explanation for that).
