Omg, I played outlaw in Shadowlands S1 and enjoyed it a lot, but after this guide the only thing that comes to my mind is 'rogue is overcomplicated in Dragonflight'

Its the reason i quit rogue. Many other classes do more damage, more utility, and are less ridiculously complicated. Idk how your eyes arent glued to a WA the entire dungeon w this spec. I was loving SIN but they nerfed tf out of it.

@@richiepipes8960 Rogue was my main for a decade, playing dh atm, it's not so complex but it's not possible to get into key as dps, so have to play tank lol

@@richiepipes8960 SIN is fun to play and does decent damage on a single target. The only problem is that it lacks AoE which does not make it viable on dungeons.

It's normally triggered by hitting on use trinks in same global as vanish or dance​@@kanor13

​@kanor13 it is not the trinket bug, that is a normal interaction that does not let you stay in subterfuge if u exit stealth with a trinket. The bug puts Between the Eyes on cooldown although you are in a subterfuge window. It does not happen consistently, but always happens on the first global after you enter vanish or shadowdance, I think it could be related to clicking Between the Eyes too fast after entering a stealth window that it does not register that you are in stealth at the moment, prob a bug in the coding conditions since we have a shorted GCD so we fan click buttons faster than other classes

@@baselmadi99 ahh I think I remember this one now, I think the guys on Ravenholdt identified it as only happening when you macro vanish/shadow dance together with between the eyes. I’ve never done that so I’ve never encountered it

So, I just started playing outlaw, right now my gear is around ~470, but my dps is abysmally low. 60k in ST and around 100-150k in 5 targets. Is it non-optimal stats? Or I just can't play outlaw for shit?

Ye i feel you. I dont think you are shit ,i have played this game since vanilla around 2000 days played and i have the same problem. My lock ,sp,warr etc etc all do more dmg with lesser gear. It might be cause alot of gear up pieces have haste on them ,gonna try crit/vers and see if something changes. I dont feel the S tier vibe tho thats for sure.

if you have a decent amount of time to play, dont overestimate the difficulty of these classes. outlaw seemed intimidating imo but when i tried, it felt very smooth though punishing with the kir build

@@garneet None of these classes are intimidating lol. I just get that with time you can have several of your characters all pushing 15s but even then managing all the keybinds and talents seems like a lot of work. Almost to the point that it's not fun.

@@FirstNullLast i pointed outlaw because it’s the highest apm by far and very reactive (bte procs for example). it’s definitely intimidating to new rogues, it’s bottom 2 in low percentiles for example. but yeah season 3 +15s don’t need you to know the game that much, nothing would 1 shot.

I would not worry too much about it the most important part is that by pressing vanish on cd u get high subterfuge uptime which ends up meaning that u get high adrenaline rush uptime

Hello Yoda, question. How do you roll dispatch after rolling Between the Eyes while in Shadow Dance or Vanish and always have all the combo points complete? I always do the rotation as you say, but I see that when you roll Between the eyes you always throw a dispatch, is it a macro or something? I'm always watching the top rogue outlaw streamers and I see that they do the same thing and it doesn't work for me. So every time they use vanish or shadow dance they spam Between the eyes and dispatch, they always complete the combo points and continue like this until they run out of CD. It's luck or my luck is very bad.

Little helper is, read the crackshot Talent. You get a dispatch for every BTE cast. This is what you See in the roation addon

I think not. i also just switched from the ambush (hidden opportunity) build to this Keep it Rolling build. the ambush is replaced with SS or pistol shots if you have the proc. also, i think he opened with blade flurry? Feels hella weird not using ambush but i suppose its how this build plays..

@@gotsnuffify Technically according to solo from the rogue discord, its not worth to greed for cto procs when u have broadside with 4 buffs because you lose cdr on kir. but i think he means how it tells u to kir the instantly after you get a 4th buff, so if u blindly follow it, you miss out on greeding for a 5th or 6th buff from cto.

Sub rogue main here and this shiz makes my head spin since I haven't played outlaw properly since S1, but then again whenever people come over trying to learn sub they have heart attacks trying to figure out how tf to play it. It's alot harder than other stuff for sure, but getting 4+ procs of ace up the sleeve in a row still can't be compared. The real downside is that a lot of ppl don't play it correctly and the general opinion is that rogues aren't as good in dungeons because ppl underperform (which isn't hard because every mistake is quite punishing tbh). Still I find it a lot more fun to play a class that actually requires more skill and experience to do dmg, it keeps me awake. I find 3-4 key button classes omega boring. Just my problem I guess :D.
