At only half way through I have to stop and comment. Thank you for showing folks they can do this kind of project! I think some people would be afraid to try it. Essentially you are building your own sturdy wall, and that is a lot better than just relying on the wall and floor you have. I will probably be doing so again myself. When Darth Landlord renovated my place he neglected to make any load bearing walls! I have nothing to safely nail or screw things into. To be honest, even the floor is suspect. So, showing people how to ground a project with a floor of sorts is very important. I love where I live, there is an American bald eagle fishing on the rocks just twelve yards from my door! So if I have to make a few sturdy walls like yours it is worth it. Well done.
