@@stevedaddy3498 well not really the only legitimate losses on his record are the two from strikeforce and the first Whittaker fight the judges screwed him on the rest maybe you could argue that Izzy won it would be reasonable but he definitely got a draw in Whittaker rematch and he beat Costa he was landing lots and dodging all of Costa’s shots in the third and the takedown after the knockdown in the first round cemented that round for him (also he definitely lost to Phil Davis I’m just talking about his UFC Fights)

Love how Romero stopped focusing on his face and went to the body instead. That could've gotten uglier than it looked UPDATE: this has shown me that the ref should've been fired for the late stoppage and elbows, utilized properly, are the most lethal part of your body.

He smart and made a nice transition was the body was open for nasty elbows.. This fight put a toll on Bruson's broken ribs.

I love how Romero basically never wrestles and just lets his opponent spend energy on getting the TD to then just casually stand up again. Dude is so good at preserving energy that sometimes he just stops fighting all together and just chills in the ring until he feels like throwing something.

I noticed that, too. Brunson´s TD´s look tiring, while Romero is so loose and putting such little effort on his takedown attempts. He is so light on his feet and even while engaging. 2:30 he straight up drop sprawls just to make Brunson carry his weight.

everyone forgets that Yoel has fused vertebrae in his neck. He cannot turn his head and this is probably the reason he avoids wrestling too. So it's incredible he survived that full force kick to back of head/neck area.

@@petrosbabinn1695 I mean lifted yoel up off the ground and slammed him at one point. Every time yoel shot in for a takedown it was like he ran into a brick wall. It's not like Brunson should be superior technically, Yoel is the one with a silver medal in the Olympics

@@TheMendo123 That medal was back in the 19th century I see no reason why Brunson couldn’t be the more technical wrestler. His legs were in the better position most of the time and he anticipated all of Romero’s trips.

@@TheMendo123 Rewatch the video. Brunson held onto the fence everytime Yoel tried to trip him with a takedown. He cheated to stay upright.

@@TheMendo123 they have different backgrounds. Brunson wrestled for UNCP which is one of the best wrestling programs in the country. Division 2 but really underrated. Brunson excelled there. And he's an American wrestler which the style is more technical and isn't as power forward as guys who do freestyle only. Yoel got away with shooting blast doubles and being super strong but isn't as technical as someone like Brunson. They're really trained in 2 different wrestling styles. You basically have the international freestyle like your knows, then you have greco Roman, and then u have folk styles. Brunson wrestling is a blend of folk and freestyle. Thats basically college wrestling.

He is so confident of his wrestling that he doesn't even worry about it and bhat is a strategy takedowns take a lot of energy he doesn't care if you take him down he lets them expand the energy to take him down, he knows his wrestling is top notch and that he can get right back to his feet

Cara gurizada. Pensa num posso de humildade é esse yoel Romero. Ele poderia ficar só atingido o rosto do Jhonson pois estava fácil fácil com ele ali no chão imobilizado. Mas enquanto o juiz não interrompia ele preferiu atingir apenas a linha de cintura pra diminuir os danos no aniversário q apesar de tudo é companheiro de profissão, um show de humildade e profissionalismo. E ainda no final ele afagou a barriga do Jhonson e ainda por incrível que pareça deu um beijo no peito do colega ainda no chão sendo atendido pelos médicos.
