Thank you for this! I’m a 67 year old woman and want to work on my balance; not just for daily activities and health, but to paddle board. This is a fun and accessible way to get started.

Thank you! Balance is so important especially as we age! I'm 68 and have been practicing yoga many years, I love how it challenges me. I do many different types of exercise but always end each class with some yoga! Namaste!

Thank you Joelle, just found this class whilst perusing your classes on social media. I usually avoid balance classes, but it’s an aspect of yoga/life I need to work on !!. I really enjoyed this! I did ab work before this practice, so my abs were already fatigued. My single-sided bird dogs were interesting to say the least! 😂And crow pose, well that's one for me to work on. I don't think I've ever even tried it before now. Thanks for helping me learn new things.💐

Love your description! 😂 Crow pose can be intimidating at first, but great job giving it a go! Perhaps I'll have to sneak it into another class sometime 😉

Hi Joelle. Im 66 years old with fibromyalgia and bursitis in my right hip. This practice was actually fun, I was surprised that I could do both right and left tree poses with no problem. However I did have to keep my eyes opened! Hopefully with practice I'll get better & can maybe shut my eyes! Your short practices have made such a difference in my life. Thank you so much. Oh, & I'm halfway through your book & I love it! Keep up the great work 👍. DonnaM57

Wow. Is this good. I have a balance disorder following an ear infection. Went through vestibular rehab therapy. This is more fun and every bit as good.

picking daisies, or single leg deadlifts have always been problematic for me - do i weak glutes? And YES this is a fun workout.

Lazy glutes are certainly a common issue for many of us! You might like to try this 10 minute class to start waking them up and see how that feels for you in terms of balance : kzbin.info/www/bejne/oYu2ZIFuZ9t6bcU

I bet you did great Moira ! Balance is a tricky thing to work on, so don't give up. Any standing practice is a great place to start, as well as abs practices (it's all about the abs and the eyes!) OK, not buying this.... "you'll forget about falling and feel proud of yourself"! I was scared, so my brain needs to get involved in balance. I don't have to close my eyes since I have nothing to focus on anyhow. I also know I need to focus on keeping my abs/core pulled in to balance. sicne I can't see, balance is very important. Funny because the most difficult and scary thing was the same side bird dogs. I felt better with standing poses because I used one finger on my dresser to help me balance. All I can say is Whew!
