Brilliant. My wife and I are in our late 70s and our experiences over the past few years has deprived us of a level of fitness. My wife has been doing this for a couple of months and her balance has improved immensely. I have now started and I feel confident it will help. Good balance is key to remaining fit.

The problem I have with a lot of these senior-targeted videos is that the instructor is chirpy-syrupy-sweet and thinks cheering us on like we're dim four year olds is going to inspire us. Nothing could be further from the truth! Jessica treats us like ADULTS, doesn't waste time with chirpy platitudes, and respects the fact that we are going to be at different levels of ability. This is the first video I have WANTED to use and have used repeatedly. Kudos to Jessica!

These exercises will help me when skate skiing. I have trouble getting a proper weight shift so I can get a long glide on one leg. Younger skiers get a much longer glide. The balancing on one leg is tough--30 to 45 seconds and very wobbly. My only restriction is that I wear shoes for all these exercises, due to a painful neuroma on the left foot.

From another 75+, The reason for couch potato is different from what you mentioned. It’s mindset, living with son, - first is dependability, sons are supposed to take care of parents. - watching videos are more interesting, is urge creator leads to habituation & couch is cosy. - pseudo depression due to not in control of mind, always diverting from what you want to do and not being done. Sometimes done at last moment or not done at all. And that create more depression, I call it recursive depression. I have most of this, except I do not live with my son. I have important expiry dates for chores on Dec 7, 14 & daily. Cardio Walk 4+ km/50 minutes I would do 2, 3 days/week, this week FOCUSSED for 6 days/week I need to gain muscles mass & gain 10 Kg weight. Yesterday I did some streching, but I don’t have balance of standing on each leg. So, I need to FOCUS on body building. Overall, we NEED FOCUS & ACTION, by self, no dependability. Though I am PARTIALLY FOCUSSED ON SOME - I coaxed myself into this some time back - cook my own food, gourmet too, all natural, NO canned/processed/microwaved/pressure cooked/plastic containers/non vegetarian Healthy selective products conducive to Diabetes-2, Hypertension, Coronary disease, salads, veggies, fruits, legumes, dairy, evoo The daily one, Today I woke up at 5:30 am, slept last night at 10:30 pm, FIRST TIME trying for it for many moons, because the idea was perpetual & last night, I had a FOCUSSED MOMENT, to lie down under cosy blanket. So, you get some idea, what I am talking about. To boost yourself by yourself one of the MOST IMPORTANT FOCUSING TRAIT IS TO KEEP SELF MENTALLY ACTIVE PRODUCTIVELY. - Think about your achievements during your productive era, and in today’s word explore how would you enhance them. That with lead you to mental exploration mode about the lifestyle around - even take you out for gardening to start with. Just imagine you can grow your own organic produce much better, fresh & cheaper than the one from market. You would save the carbon imprints too. I am in the process of designing & building self sustaining Food Jungle on 3000 sq feet more reclaiming 3 lawns. I already have an orchard covering 1000 sq feet developed some 40 years ago, totally organic, no chemicals, not even insecticides & pesticides. Best Wishes. 💐💕🎶🎉 🙏अश्वनी

Hi Jessica. Just yesterday I "discovered" this exercise. Today I did it for the first time. I'm suffering from Parkinson's for a long time. I'm 77 years old. My stability gets worse. Now I'm at the point where walking stick is not enough and I'm using a rollator. Still I walk very slow and unstable. I already used other trainers videos with no improvement. This video of yours made a good impression. I indend to do it daily. BTW my arms and legs are strong, still the lack of stability causes major walking problems. If you provide me with an advice as to what exercise videos of yours I should use, I'll highly appreciate. Thanks.

My iPhone is the one that mentioned that my balance is off and I am going to fall… 49 years old, two extremely bad knees no Cartlidge torn meniscus in both and 100% arthritic. But I don’t want to just get old. I found that very helpful. I’m going to make it a daily regime. I work all day at a factory at a table in quality control… No harm will come to me, but I definitely can do some of these exercises during my 8 hour day of standing. I didn’t realize that my balance was going until my phone told me. And I cannot stand on one leg for 10 seconds. I was (before bad knees) extremely active and an athlete.
