A very helpful beginner yoga. I've been practicing this along with Joelle's other sciatica video (20 minutes) and her lazy glutes video, doing one of them morning and evening for about a month. My sciatica pain is now much less through out the day. I notice a difference now that my glutes are toned up a bit. They support my sacrum movements now.

Joelle, I’ve utilized this video for sometime now and it had helped my well being immensely! Lately, I’ve been complacent about my health and body because of my work, study and life balance. As a result, all my aches and mains have made me irritable and somewhat low. Today, I did this set of stretches for the first time. Hi Joelle, I just found you the other day. I love your exercises for injuries, and add them to my yoga practices. I just would like to comment on one thing. When in pain I can´t do lateral moves or anything to strengthen the area. I tried that in the last weeks and that has exacerbated my pain and tightness to an extreme. I can´t even sit anymore. Would you recommend doing those exercises in pain-free times, or is it just me? I don´t have anything fractured as I am aware. I was diagnosed with 2 prolapses, trochanteric bursitis (better), and sciatica. Although I´m sure it´s the IT band/piriformis as well. Thank you so much for your videos. :-)

I can't responsibly comment on specific cases without knowing you, your body, or your habits, but what I always recommend is not to go TOWARDS pain or force anything that doesn't feel right. I don't see a firm reason why not, but keep in mind that I don't know you or your body, nor what your SI joint issues are, so ultimately you and your doctor are the best people to answer this question. I'm glad you're enjoying the practices!

I found the release as I did the moves and then had more discomfort. I am having sciatica issues UGH. I will continue to stretch and release strengthen my core. Hoping it improves and goes away :-) Thanks so much

Joelle! This was an amazing practice! I've been experiencing pain, above the right buttcheek) which i believe would be Sciatica and/or Piriformis. I've noticed this recently with my new serving job. Standing and walking around for 8 hours sometimes with no break to sit down for 15 minutes. These stretches really hit the exact spot that I felt needed stretched! One thing i noticed though, in Pigeon, my left side felt tighter than my right. I find that interesting because it was my right side that was hurting. I've been doing the yoga for my wrists, I'm going to add this practice as well and going into the Lazy Glutes after I finish this comment. Namaste Joelle
