Thanks Miss Bird, you've helped me realign my hip this morning. I've been doing a lot of running. Did about 50 miles yesterday and it's the most I've ran in one session timed

Love , love this style of yoga! 🧘♀️ The longer I hold a pose the better it feels 💯 with gratitude 🌺 namaste ❤️
@YogaWithBird4 жыл бұрын
Yes! Exactly. Yin is suppose to allow us to reach the stretch however the longer we hold the more the body begins to open up. Often times poses are held 3-5 minutes and classes may vary between 2-4 poses. What I love about yin is that it allows us to awknowledge the body and be more present, although it is a great way to create flexibility there is always a deeper connection that happens. This style is also a great way to release any stagnant energy within the hips and many feel different types of emotions arise throughout practice as the hips are a breeding ground for stress and past trauma. It’s a great release all around 🦋❤️🤗

I’m not sure if I”m doing “deer pose” correct. Where should we feel the stretch? Is it normal for the glute with the leg bent behind, to come off the mat a bit? Thanks. Lovely practice !
@YogaWithBird4 жыл бұрын
M BG i cannot tell you where you should feel the stretch as each body is different. The leg with the heel beside your hip will lift slightly however the space between the knee and foot should remain on the mat. The only part that will lift off the mat should be the glute you can reference how I am in the video as I have entered the full expression. If it feel more than just a stretch or very uncomfortable you should come out and take a pose that feels best for you 😊

This is a nice morning stretch but I wouldn't call it intermediate! One of the less challenging yin yoga routines I've done (and I'm not super advanced either).
@YogaWithBird4 жыл бұрын
thats incredible! It’s definitely more Intermediate as I wouldn’t tell a beginner to do some of the poses unless their body could. It is in between advanced and beginner level. It’s important to know that each body is different, you may have a bit more space in the body as a beginner where as another person can’t quite sit cross legged as easy etc...always do what you can! I’m so happy you enjoyed.
